Running Away

two girls frm my town engaged to two guys frm back home ran away frm home as they didnt want to marry the guys

they are intrested in two other guys from here

IMO they didnt technically "run away" frm home as they went to stay at their uncles home

but they now cant shake of the stigma of being the "girls who brought shame on their family" by running away frm home

as a result their boyfriends family dont want nothing to do with them

why is it the worst possible thing in the world to run away from home

and why do parents says that their daughters are "dead" to them-when they're

Shias in Isoc

Assalamualaikum,

Recently at our University Isoc we have had a sudden influx of shia involvement in our Isoc. Their activities such as dua kumayl are advertised on our weekly emails to all the Muslims in the University, they bring in their own speakers which again is advertised on our emails, and with no indication whether these talks are by shia speakers.

Their involvement has gone from nonexistence to overwhelming activity, all in the name of 'integration'.

Massacre(s) In Iraq

Well the allegations are finally gaining traction.

Apparently there are three separate incidents being investigated, with some US marines actually testifying to brutality by their colleagues.

And there is some video available at the beeb from just after one of the incidents, the one at ishaqi where 11 members of a family were killed.

They have blurred out the headshot wounds. On newsnight they showed more graphic pictures of the children, clearly showing headshot bullet wounds.

The Iraqi Police are contradicting the US Army position on this event at Haditha.
