US Renews Ties with Libya
US to renew full ties with Libya

The US is to renew full diplomatic ties with Libya after deciding to remove it from a list of states backing terrorism, the state department says.

Washington has not had normal relations with Libya since 1980.

The state was held responsible for the bombing of a Pan Am flight in 1988, which killed 270 people, mostly US.

In 2004 Washington lifted many economic sanctions and restored some diplomatic ties after Libya publicly turned its back on weapons of mass destruction.

However, the country remained on Washington's list of s

Muslim hardship under spotlight

Many Muslims in England face bleak employment prospects and endure poor standards of housing, a government-backed study has found.
The report revealed Muslims were more likely than any other faith group to be jobless and living in poor conditions.

It said half of Muslims aged over 25 were unemployed, and one in three lived in the most deprived areas of England.

University researchers in Birmingham, Derby, Oxford, and Warwick also found they had poorer levels of education.

Work Work Work.

Salaam

I'm in a slight conundrum.

I took the last two days (thursday and friday) off work.

When I told the Manager I will not be coming in, he basically threatened me and said my job is on the line. He thought that I would change my mind and come in.

I do not take well to threats. Alkbeit I did not respond then, just saying we'll discuss this later, and hanging up on him.

Now on monday I have three choices:

1. Go in and pretend nothing happened.
2. Go in and have a word with him about how I did not appreciate his tone.
3.

The Revival Website. Part 3

Salaam

we have had alot of changes on the website. I am planning another one. Instead of having to concurrent systems, (aswell as an ftp'ing some static files), combine both systems into one.

Now wordpress and phpbb do not play well together.

I am planning on leaving both for either Joomla or Drupal or Typo3.

I currently favour typo3, but from others' comments it is a pain to get started as it is very very very very very powerful.

But it has all the features in one place, and loads loads more.
