The German town of Herzogenaurach has been split in half, thanks to a 60-year-old family feud.

Each side has its own bakers, butchers, bars and even schools.

About 29,000 prisoners are believed to be held in US- and Iraqi-run jails.

By all means respond or add your own.

Somewhere inside my head I am capable of resolving any issue I care about. In reality that cannot always be so, realistically because I can't be everywhere at once, and ideologically because one of my guiding principles allows people the space to do what they like so long as it isn't causing harm. Also I am not often empowered by other people to take charge, it is necessary in any case to be open to the views of others, and systems are in place that work better than crowning The Great 100.
