A newborn boy left at an Islamic centre in Staffordshire has died.

The baby was found wrapped in clothes at about 1030 GMT outside the centre in Beresford Street in the Shelton area of Stoke-on-Trent.

He was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire where he was declared dead at 1230 GMT, Staffordshire Police said.

The area has been cordoned off while officers investigate. Anyone with information should call police.

Voices of Muslim Women!

Asalaamualiakum all,

We, in Greater Manchester, have arranged a Muslim Womens Voices Event (title of event not confirmed yet) with community leaders so Muslim Women can have their say.

So heres where you come in!

We would like ideas of issues related to Muslim Women in the community (local or national) whether these are comments, complaints, or concerns. These statements will help facilitators highlight issues for discussion with groups on the event.

Men are welcome to comment too.

Jihad - The men and ideas behind Al Qaida

Something that was linked to on Tribune (I will spare the naming because if people do not like it, it may be "shaming" too).

I like it. Get past the first part or two and try to forget that there is other history there too and after that it is quite good IMO.

This is the linked episode (episode 2, you can start at the start with episode 1 here):

Pakistan needs a kick up the #$%é

BBC Link

Poor boy.

Pakistan needs some serious cleansing. This is day in day out and the government is always in on it.

Luckily, this boy is young and has a red passport so there is a great chance he will be returned.

InshaAllah he is. May Allah give his family Sabar.

We should pledge money if it comes down to it.

I am in. So if there is a relative of this kids, please post here so we know who to come to if they are going to get the money together.

As for them who did this, may you rot in hell.

James Bulger Killers - your Opinion.

Just for Background, James Bulger was a two year old who was kidnapped, tortured and murdered in 1993 by a couple of ten year olds. (wikipedia)

The Killers:

"The two boys, by then aged 11, were found guilty of Bulger's murder at Preston Crown Court on 24 November 1993, the youngest people to be convicted of murder in English criminal history."

Sunita Williams reverting to islam???

"Sunita Williams, the 1st indian lady who went to the moon on 02/07/2007 said that from the moon, the whole earth looked very black and dark, except the two places which were bright and shining when she saw through the telescope. These places were MAKKAH & MADINA (Saudi Arabia). Also, at the moon all the frequencies failed but still she could listen to the AZAAN..s'allah"

What has been reported that she and her crew (who went to the moon)may have accepted islam, though i havent found any form of source which has her declared statement.
