Watched, and was surprised at how similar Gypsy culture was to Islamic culture.
What do you call some of the most unlucky people in Britain?
Justin Case, Barb Dwyer and Stan Still.
It sounds like a bad joke, but a study has revealed that there really are unfortunate people with those names in the UK.
Joining them on the list are Terry Bull, Paige Turner, Mary Christmas and Anna Sasin.
And just imagine having to introduce yourself to a crowd as Doug Hole or Hazel Nutt.
The names were uncovered by researchers from parenting group TheBabyWebsite.com after trawling through online telephone records.
Retired airman Stan Still, 76, from Cirencester, Gloucestershire, said his name had been "a blooming millstone around my neck my entire life".
I am probably not the best person to start this...
but the idea is... everyday people do good, people do bad.
But people should do more good and be encouraged for it...
So you can use this thread to write about one good deed that you have either done today or witnessed someone else do and you feel like highlighting.
(Try to limit posting deeds to one a day, but understandably there may be more that you want to highlight)
WHen was the last time you helped an old lady across the road?
[quote] French MPs have voted unanimously to make "psychological violence" within a couple an offence punishable by up to three years in prison as part of new measures aimed at improving protection for victims of domestic abuse.
Politicians from the left and right supported the passing of a law which singles out "repeated" verbal actions intended to hurt the victim's rights and dignity or their physical or mental health. As well as a jail sentence, offenders could be ordered to pay a fine of up to €75,000 (£66,600).
Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Radi Allah Unho)
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu's) real name was Abdullah, and he was given the title of "As Siddique" or"Testifier to the Truth." His father, 'Uthman, was known as Abu Quhafah and his mother, Salma, was known as Ummul Khair. He was two and a half years younger than Sayyiduna Rasulullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).
Abu Bakr (R.A.) the First Among Men to Enter Islam
Abu Bakr was always a very close Companion of the Holy Prophet, he knew him better than any other man. He knew how honest and upright the Prophet was. Such knowledge of the Prophet made Abu Bakr be the first man to follow the Message of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam. He was indeed the first adult male to accept Islam.
Evan Davis presents a programme exploring the effects of immigration in the UK by focusing on Wisbech, a town in Cambridgeshire.
Since 2004 this once prosperous market town has received up to 9,000 immigrants seeking work - the majority from Eastern Europe. But with nearly 2,000 locals unemployed and claiming benefits, many of them blame the foreign workers for their predicament.
To test if the town needs so many foreign workers, immigrant employees are temporarily removed from their jobs, and the work given to the local unemployed. Now the town's British workers have a chance to prove they can do it.
the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“Whoever initiates a good practice (sunnah hasanah) in Islam and is emulated by others in doing so will get the reward of it and the reward of all those who act upon it without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And whosoever initiates an evil practice (sunnah sayyi’ah) in Islam and is emulated by others will bear the sin of it and the sin of all those who act on it without their burden being diminished in the least. â€

The General Elections are almost here...
Will you be voting?
Yes/NO- why?
Will you only vote if there is a BNP candidate or not at all?
Will you vote if there is a Muslim candidate- as we definitely need more Muslim MP's to repesent us?
Do you know what your MP can help you with?
Do you vote on basis of party, individual candidate etc?
Do you think voting is a waste of time?
Do you think voting is haram?
Do you think voting is the best way to air your voice and bring change?
Do you feel strongly about political lobbying?
Or do you find politics boring?
Is almost everything in life not politics?
