So Many Muslims, So Little Islam

Salaam

Someone mentioned this point to me once….using the catchy slogan in the title above. It really made me think.

Does anyone believe that sometimes our focus becomes lost?

I mean, sometimes we get so bogged down dunia stuff…work/Uni/school/family etc etc that we sometimes forget stop to think about Allah (swt)…..sometimes the purpose of being sent to this world gets pushed at the back of our mind.

I feel that the people who are actually busy working for Islam, striving to improve themselves and those around them using hiqmah (wisdom) are few and far between.

Did Jesus (pbuh) die???

Salaam. I have always believed that Jesus(pbuh) didnt die and that he was raised to heaven by Allah(swt). Ok, so then I was talking to this guy who is an Ahmadiyyah. They believe that Jesus(pbuh) died and that he WILL NOT RETURN. I found this very strange bcoz I thought we Muslims were supposed to believe that he will return, not as a Messenger, but for other reasons. Which is why Muhammad(pbuh) was the FINAL messenger.

OK so then this guy talks about this other man who came to "reform", he didnt use the word prophet. But don't Ahmadiyyah ppl believe that the prophethood was extended?

GANG CULTURE

salaam, I am new to the forum and joined after reading the latest edition of the revival which i thought is an excellent magazine that should target the muslim youth to great effect.
Im sure many of you are aware of the gang culture that is effecting the muslim youth of today.
Speaking from experience many young muslims see smoking weed and being in gangs as fun and exciting.
They dress and act like ghetto thugs have no morals or knowledge about being a good muslim or islamic history.
This was shown in your articles such as ali wannabe + eid not weed.

Director of Liberty, Anita Chakrabutti, has said that the blatant disregard of basic Human Rights by the Editor of The Revival magazine, Sajid Iqbal, was shocking. “It defies belief that someone who has championed equality, democracy and freedom for 45 years, takes such draconian measures on The Revival Forums.”

Sajid Iqbal has come under fierce criticism after he suddenly deleted a whole thread from The Revival Forums, which was posted by SufiPower.
