Ultra-Orthodox jews ban women from driving

I'd like to say that I didn't post this to have a go at the jews.

The point is to show the hypocracy with which the western media deals with muslims. There was outrage by many in the media when muslims in Canada proposed to introduce islamic family law. If a muslim community this size banned (verbally) women from driving there would be a campaign against them from the media.

The Saddam Hussein Trial

[quote]
The trial of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein for crimes against humanity has begun in Baghdad.

He made an outspoken attack on the judicial process and refused to answer questions.

Here are excerpts from the interchange between Saddam Hussein and chief judge Rizgar Mohammed Amin:

Saddam:

Those who fought in God's cause will be victorious... I am at the mercy of God, the most powerful.

Judge Amin:

Mr Saddam, please tell us your identity, your name.... You have enough time, you will have enough time to say whatever you like and to express your thoughts.

Khatams

for e.g like when somebody passes away, people do the 40 days Khatam and

other things like celebrating Prophet Muhammed 'pbuh' birthday.

My point: is it allowed in Islam ??? I've been told by my friend, No, It's

Bidith.

ANGER

Why God....?

Just rambling through my thoughts really and it occured to me that religion has come to mean a lot of things to a lot of people. The diversity and understanding of these systems of belief is quite huge in some cases. although most times the end product is pretty much the same, Nirvana, heaven, paradise and so on.

Why do some people seem to need a God more than others?
