BNP leader Nick Griffin and party activist Mark Collett have been cleared of inciting racial hatred after a retrial at Leeds Crown Court.
Mr Griffin, 46, from Powys, Wales, had denied two charges of using words or behaviour intended to stir up racial hatred in a speech in Keighley.

Mr Collett, 26, of Leicestershire, was cleared of four similar charges.

The pair were charged in April 2005 after the BBC showed a secretly-filmed documentary The Secret Agent in 2004.

US Election

The Democrats have won control of the House of Representatives and the Senate. This is a massive blow to the governing Republican party led by President GW Bush. Donald Rumsfeld has resigned and there are talks of all kinds of investigations and subpoenas.

Saddam Hussein's Great Escape!!

[quote="BBC NEWS"]Strong reports coming out of Iraq today claiming Saddam Hussein has escaped from jail mere days after his death sentencing. It is believed that during a routine guard change the former dictator made his move and escaped his cell it is believed he may have had outside help.

Other reports state that the current Iraqi government installed by US forces seem to be in a mass exodus from the country with their families and all the loot they can carry. The atmosphere seems one of unorganized panic.

best place to bring up a child?

When I was in pakistan last year, I met a family that left the uk, as they didn't like the western culture, and were afraid that it would have a negative affect on their children in the future.

Is it a bad thing to bring up children in the uk? And is it better to take them to pakistan or india?

I have heard on countless occassions that the children from "back home" are more islamic.........than the children from uk. And know more about the religion.

But I guess they haven't read the comments on this forum!

We already have a classic "NO TOPIC" thread for all your rants and other
useless ideas which you might want to get off your chest.

That thread is for saying anything on any subject.

Its like a free speech platform.

This thread is different.

Please use this thread to ask questions or make requests to other members.

Even if you want to say something to the Prime Minister, President Bush, Saddam, King of Nepal, or any other moron, then write it here.

If a member's, or a moderator's habits are annoying you, then please say so here.

The Gratitude Thread

Salaam

The British moan, criticise and complain a lot ….be it regarding the weather, traffic or inflation. Most people are always "stressed out"...

Modern research on stress has often focused on the fact that, living in the West, we have little reason for real stress, and we often exaggerate it.

In the past we’ve had moaning/whining threads…threads on stuff that annoys us/stuff that makes us angry.

So….why don’t we have a “count your blessings thread”.

What do we have that we’re extremely grateful for? What do we have that no one else has?
