LOL i aint married u know,

i wouldnt mind going to eygpt, after saudi thats what place i'd love to visit, then probably where i was born,

i dont think anyone will miss an opportunity for hajj/umrah

It was early in the morning at four,
When death knocked upon a bedroom door,

Who is there? The sleeping one cried.
I'm Malkul Mawt, let me inside.

At once, the man began to shiver,
As one sweating in deadly fever,
He shouted to his sleeping wife,
Don't let him take away my life.

Please go away, O Angel of Death!
Leave me alone;
I'm not ready yet.
My family on me depends,
Give me a chance, O please prepense!

The angel knocked again and again,

Friend! I'll take your life without a pain,
Tis your soul Allah requires,
I come not with my own desire.

Bewildered, the man began to cry,
O Angel I'm so afraid to die,
I'll give you gold and be your slave,
Don't send me to the unlit grave.

Let me in, O Friend! The Angel said,
Open the door; get up from your bed,
If you do not allow me in,
I will walk through it, like a Jinn.

The man held a gun in his right hand,
Ready to defy the Angel's stand.
I'll point my gun, towards your head,
You dare come in; I'll shoot you dead.

By now the Angel was in the room,
Saying, O Friend! Prepare for you doom.
Foolish man, Angels never die,
Put down your gun and do not sigh.
Why are you afraid! Tell me O man,
To die according to Allah's plan?
Come smile at me, do not be grim,
Be Happy to return to Him.

O Angel! I bow my head in shame,
I had no time to take Allah's Name.
From morning till dusk, I made my wealth,
Not even caring for my health.
Allah's command I never obeyed,
Nor five times a day I ever prayed.
A Ramadan came and a Ramadan went,
But no time had I to repent.
The Hajj was already FARD on me,
But I would not part with my money.
All charities I did ignore,
Taking usury more and more.
Sometimes I sipped my favorite wine,
With flirting women I sat to dine.

O Angel! I appeal to you,
Spare my life for a year or two.
The Laws of Quran I will obey,
I'll begin SALAT this very day.
My Fast and Hajj, I will complete,
And keep away from self-conceit.
I will refrain from usury,
And give all my wealth to charity,
Wine and wenches I will detest,
Allah's oneness I will attest.

We Angels do what Allah demands,
We cannot go against His commands.
Death is ordained for everyone,
Father, mother, daughter or son.
I'm afraid this moment is your last,
Now be reminded, of your past,
I do understand your fears,
But it is now too late for tears.

You lived in this world, two score and more,
Never did you, your people adore.
Your parents, you did not obey,
Hungry beggars, you turned away.
Your two ill-gotten, female offspring,
In nightclubs, for livelihood they sing.
Instead of making more Muslims,
You made your children non-Muslims.
You ignored the Mua'dhin Adhaan,
Nor did you read the Holy Quran.
Breaking promises all your life,
Backbiting friends, and causing strife.
From hoarded goods, great profits you made,
And your poor workers, you underpaid.
Horses and cards were your leisure,
Moneymaking was your pleasure.
You ate vitamins and grew more fat,
With the very sick, you never sat.
A pint of blood you never gave,
Which could a little baby save?

O Human, you have done enough wrong,
You bought good properties for a song.
When the farmers appealed to you,
You did not have mercy, tis true.

Paradise for you? I cannot tell,
Undoubtedly you will dwell in hell.
There is no time for you to repent,
I'll take your soul for which I am sent.

The ending however, is very sad,
Eventually the man became mad
With a cry, he jumped out of bed,
And suddenly, he fell down dead.

O Reader! Take moral from here,
You never know, your end may be near
Change your living and make amends
For heaven, on your deeds depends

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

will probably have a sleepless night tonight thanx to hayder!

Hayder, that has been in The Revival in the past! (and Invitation magazine...)

still a very good read.

thoughtprovoking.

especially that you may die tonight.... and what have you done to prepare for your afterlife?

i've still got alot 2 DO, u ask me i dont think ive done ALOT,

imagine knowing a FIXED time u gonna die, we wouldnt even think twice and start giving sajdah 24/7...

i think its about time we start to ACT before its 2 LATE.

first read this at JAMIA, its an eye opener

If the Prophet visited you
(peace and blessings be upon him)
I wonder........................

If Prophet Muhammad visited you

Just for a day or two,

If he came unexpectedly,

I wonder what you would do?

Oh I know you would give your nicest room,

To such an honored guest,

And you would serve him your very best.

You would be the very best,

Cause you're glad to have him there,

That serving him in your home

Would be a joy without compare.

But...when you see him coming,

Would you meet him at the door

With your arms outstretched in welcome,

To your visitor?

Or...would you have to change your clothes

before you let him in?

Or hide some magazines and put

The Quran where they had been?

Would you still watch those movies,

Or your T.V. set?

Or would you switch it off,

Before he gets upset.

Would you turn off the radio,

And hope he had not heard?

And wish that you did not utter

your last loud hasty word?

Would you hide your wordly music,

And instead take out Hadith books?

Could you let him walk right in,

Or would you rush about?

And I wonder...if the Prophet spent, a day or two with you,

Would you go on doing the things you always do?

Would you go right on and say the things You always say?

Would life for you continue

As it does from day to day?

Would your family conversations,

Keep up their ususal pace?

And would you find it hard each meal,

To say a table grace?

Would you keep up each and every prayer?

Without putting on a frown?

And would you always jump up early,

For Fajr at dawn?

Would you sing the songs you always sing?

And read the book you read?

And let him know the things on which,

Your mind and spirit feed?

Would you take the Prophet with you,

Everywhere you plan to go?

Or, would you maybe change your plans,

Just for a day or so?

Would you be glad to have him meet,

Your very closest friends?

Or, would you hope they stay away,

Until his visit ends?

Would you be glad to have him stay,

Forever on and on?

Or would you sigh with great relief,

When he at last was gone?

It might be intresting to know,

The things that you would do.

If Prophet Muhammad, came,

To spend some time with you.

this poem goes a long way to make us remember our duties as muslims.may Allah reward the author.

See with me I dont do that much chit chat, plus I prefer my family and close friends to complete strangers. Having said that, alhamdulillah went umrah for 3 weeks earlier in the year on my own, not even in a group, it was amazing. Alhamdulillah i think i benefitted soooo much cos I could spend as long as I wanted at where I wanted without any1 saying oh u aint eaten yet, or you aint slept yet blah blah blah. I strongly recommend brothers to go on their own, and sisters to go with their close male relatives cos its FANTASTIC.

yeh travel companions do cause trouble, get into fights and cussing matches very quicckly.
