I find one major thing is whether you listening live or not. I find that listening to a recording is not the same as listening to a live tilawah.
I remember when Shaykh Sudays came to bham a few yrs back and we read maghrib behind him, subhanALLAH that was amazing, but also when in Masjid Nabwi salallahu alayhi wa sallam the Shaykh Hussain AalShaykh has beautiful voice.
For me I think it depends on where I am and what the spiritual condition of my heart is. Like in Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah the heart is more sensitive so recitation has more effect, but having said that the first time I heard my Ustaadji's qira'ah that had effect on my heart aswell, alhamdulillah.
watching live trawihs has an effect on my heart.....walahi i die to go,i wanna be in that majlis....i really cant EXPLAIN how i feel man, it makes me sad not knowing when my time will come,
SO lucky are those who've been

alhamdulillah I been in summar twice now but not in Ramadaan. InshaALLAH one time I intend to go for full thirty days!! Imagine that. I hope ALLAH takes my life in Madinah Munawwarah, I swear the air is sweet in Madinah, you can feel the rahmat of ALLAH all around you, its so pure and clean.

lo, these comments arent to make jealous. They are to encourage those who havent gone to go, and also to increase in their hearts the desire to go.
SubhanALLAH. The first time you see Ka'batullah , you cant believe it. How beautiful it is and how dirty and filthy you are. Its totally pure and clean and a place of blessings and mercy and sinners like me have been favoured by ALLAH that I have visited that pure place. One thing is that the Ka'bah is larger than one expects, cos when you see photos or tv you see the Ka'bah from the air and you see the masjid aswell so it looks smaller than it actually is. SubhanALLAH Makkah Mukarrama is the city of Jalaal. In it the hearts tremble and shake with fear of ALLAH. and Madinah Munawwarah is the city of Jamaal. In it the hearts soften and fill with softness, subhanALLAH.
But Baytul Maqdis is also our city, our heart our imaan. And we should make effort to go there aswell, particularly as we are british passport holders so we have some protection from israeli aggression, we should go and tell others about it. InshaALLAH May ALLAH grant us the ziyarah of Baytul Maqdis.

Ordering Pizza in 2008
Operator: Thank you for calling Pizza Hut. May I have your national ID number?
omer: Hi, I'd like to place an order.
Operator: I must have your NIDN first, sir.
Customer: My National ID Number, yeah, hold on, eh, it's 02049998-45-54610.
Operator: Thank you Mr. Sheehan. I see you live at 1742 Meadowland Drive, and the phone number is 494-2366. Your office number over at Lincoln Insurance is 745-2302 and your cell number is 266-2566. Email address is sheehan@home,net. Which number are you calling from sir?
Customer: Huh? I'm at home. Where'd you get all this information?
Operator: We're wired into the HSS, sir.
Customer: The HSS, what is that?
Operator: We're wired into the Homeland Security System, sir. This will add only 15 seconds to your ordering time.
Customer: (sighs) Oh well, I'd like to order a couple of your All-Meat Special pizzas.
Operator: I don't think that's a good idea, sir.
Customer: Whaddya mean?
Operator: Sir, your medical records and commode sensors indicate that you've got very high blood pressure and extremely high cholesterol. Your National Health Care provider won't allow such an unhealthy choice.
Customer: What?!?! What do you recommend then?
Operator: You might try our low-fat Soybean Pizza. I'm sure you'll like it.
Customer: What makes you think I'd like something like that?
Operator: Well, you checked out 'Gourmet Soybean Recipes' from your local library last week. That's why I made the suggestion.
Customer: All right, all right. Give me two family-sized ones, then.
Operator: That should be plenty for you, your wife and your four kids. Your 2 dogs can finish the crusts, sir. Your total is $49.99.
Customer: Lemme give you my credit card number.
Operator: I'm sorry sir, but I'm afraid you'll have to pay in cash. Your credit card balance is over its limit.
Customer: I'll run over to the ATM and get some cash before your driver gets here.
Operator: That won't work either, sir. Your checking account is overdrawn also.
Customer: Never mind! Just send the pizzas. I'll have the cash ready. How long will it take?
Operator: We're running a little behind, sir. It'll be about 45 minutes, sir. If you're in a hurry you might want to pick'em up while you're out getting the cash, but then, carrying pizzas on a motorcycle can be a little awkward.
Customer: Wait! How do you know I ride a motorcycle?
Operator: It says here you're in arrears on your car payments, so your car got repo'ed. But your Harley's paid for and you just filled the tank yesterday.
Customer: Well, I'll be a #%#^^&$%^$@#
Operator: I'd advise watching your language, sir. You've already got a July 4, 2003 conviction for cussing out a cop and another one I see here in September for contempt at your hearing for cussing at a judge. Oh yes, I see here that you just got out from a 90 day stay in the State Correctional Facility. Is this your first pizza since your return to society?
Customer: (speechless)
Operator: Will there be anything else, sir?
Customer: Yes, I have a coupon for a free 2 liter of Coke..
Operator: I'm sorry sir, but our ad's exclusionary clause prevents us from offering free soda to diabetics. The New Constitution prohibits this. Thank you for calling Pizza Hut.

THROUGH LOVE all that is bitter will be sweet.
Through Love all that is copper will be gold.
Through Love all dregs will turn to purest wine.
Through Love all pain will turn to medicine.
Through Love the king will turn into a slave!
What do you see when you look at me
Do you see someone limited, or someone free?
All some people can do is just look and stare
Simply because they can't see my hair.
Others think I am controlled and uneducated
They think that I am limited and un-liberated.
They are so thankful that they are not me
Because they would like to remain 'free.'
Well free isn't exactly the word I would've used
Describing women who are cheated on and abused.
They think that I do not have opinions or voice
They think that being hooded isn't my choice.
They think that the hood makes me look caged
That my husband or dad are totally outraged.
All they can do is look at me in fear
And in my eye there is a tear.
Not because I have been stared at or made fun of
But because people are ignoring the One up Above.
On the Day of Judgment they will be the fools
Because they were too ashamed to play by their own rules.
Maybe the guys won't think I am a cutie
But at least I am filled with more inner beauty.
See I have declined from being a guy's toy
Because I won't let myself be controlled by a boy.
Real men are able to appreciate my mind
And aren't busy looking at my behind.
Hooded girls are the ones really helping the Muslim cause
The role that we play definitely deserves applause.
I will be recognized because I am smart and bright
And because some people are inspired by my sight.
The smart ones are attracted by my tranquility
In the back of their mind they wish they were me.
We have the strength to do what we think is right
Even if it means putting up a life-long fight.
You see we are not controlled by a miniskirt and tight shirt
We are given only respect, and never treated like dirt.
So you see, we are the ones that are free and liberated
We are not the ones that are sexually terrorized and violated.
We are the ones that are free and pure
We're free of STD's that have no cure.
So when people ask you how you feel about the hood
Just sum it up by saying 'Baby, its all good!'

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.
In the name of Allah,
The Most Gracious, The Most High
The youth today,
On their mind no longer play.
They have turned the other way,
Now only Allah they obey.
A teacher says “Oh child!
Why you let your beard grow wild?
Why not cut it, nice and clean…
Then you’d be ‘with it’ ‘in the scene’?”
Bro, he answers back
“In my hand I have the Haq!
Therefore nothing do I lack.
Prepared to Fight for this reason,
Coz in the end We cant be beaten…
Coz we’re the..
Soldiers of Allah
We say ‘Lailaha ilallah’
As the Soldiers of Allah
We hold no fear for the kufar
As the Soldiers of Allah
We will fight for no other
As the Soldiers of Allah
We’re promised Victory or Jannah”
A sisters told to marry this man,
He doesn’t pray or read Quran,
But mother says “He’s from our clan,
So Shut Up! And follow the plan!”
Daughter argues “But mama look at him!
And I’m a young, practicing Muslim!
Cohabitation between us would be a sin
I wont leave my deen and let Honour win
I want a brother who hates the west system,
And fights for the oppressed Muslims.
He’s prepared to use a sword
If its to help his final abode.
I want him to be a Ghazi,
Ready to kill Zionist Isreali,
And no doubt will we have, me and my mate,
Of the eventual establishment of the Islamic State
Coz we’re the…
Soldiers of Allah
We say Lailaha illallah
As the Soldiers of Allah
Intentions to spread Haq near and far
As the Soldiers of Allah
We know Allah will give us Honour
As the Soldiers of Allah
We know its through Jihad Fisabillah”
Brothers and sisters, don’t you see,
That you’ll die when its you destiny.
So would you rather drown in this world,
Or die on the battlefield?
I guaranty, if we unite as one Ummah
You’ll see the Kufar shudda,
Coz even unbelievers know,
United, we become their greatest Foe.
We need to embrace Jihad to win,
Coz 3 days without a Khalifa puts us in sin,
But to implement Sharia in our lands,
They first need to be taken out of Kufar hands.
Allah is the Protector of the believers,
So how can you consider we can be beaten?
Peace treaties and compassion? Your wastin your time!
Just take up your arms, and go head for the front line!
As the…
Soldiers of Allah
Fight for lailaha illallah
The Soldiers of Allah
Follow in the footsteps of the Sahabah
As the Soldiers of Allah
We live and die for Al-Jabbar
As the Soldiers of Allah
We Unite, One Body, One Ummah
-----------------------------------------------
Where are my brothers?
Where are my brothers?
I need a sister to hold me…
Where are the others?
I thought we made up one body…
When they touch us
When they force us
When they pin us down
and hold us
We feel helpless….we feel worthless…
Our hands are tied
behind our back,
children tortured
till they crack…
We’re made to watch it, forced to watch it..
Now I am scared…
I am lonely…
I need help….
Oh if only
You were here….You were here
Where are my brothers?
I need a sister to hold me…
Where are the others?
I thought we made up one body…
Lowered my gaze
All my life,
Kept myself pure
Till I was a wife…
Think how I feel, when my cloths they peel…
Our men felt strong
They were Protectors…
Now their hands are tied
As they watch their sisters…
But they cant help them….and this kills them…
Brother stands watch
From where they hide,
Sister makes Dua’
That they’ll be fine…
And brothers just 10…and sister is nine…
Where are my brothers?
I need a sister to hold me…
Where are the others?
I thought we made up one body…
WHERE ARE YOU BROTHER!!!!
I need someone to save me!
why do I bother…
When you ignore my call and plea…
WHERE are you sister?
Open your eyes, can’t you see!
Today I am who they’re after
But tomorrow you will replace me…
And to the others…
Who ignore me…My Ummah!
You failed as my protectors…
You’ll be accountable, so fear Allah…
Where are my brothers?
I need a sister to hold me…
Where are the others?
I thought we made up one body…
where are my brothers…

Easy & Difficult
Easy is to get a place is someone's address book.
Difficult is to get a place in someone's heart.
Easy is to judge the mistakes of others.
Difficult is to recognize our own mistakes
Easy is to talk without thinking.
Difficult is to refrain the tongue.
Easy is to hurt someone who loves us.
Difficult is to heal the wound...
Easy is to forgive others.
Difficult is to ask for forgiveness
Easy is to set rules.
Difficult is to follow them...
Easy is to dream every night.
Difficult is to fight for a dream...
Easy is to show victory.
Difficult is to assume defeat with dignity...
Easy is to admire a full moon.
Difficult to see the other side...
Easy is to stumble with a stone.
Difficult is to get up..
Easy is to enjoy life every day.
Difficult to give its real value...
Easy is to promise something to someone.
Difficult is to fulfill that promise...
Easy is to say we love.
Difficult is to show it every day...
Easy is to criticize others.
Difficult is to improve oneself...
Easy is to make mistakes.
Difficult is to learn from them...
Easy is to weep for a lost love.
Difficult is to take care of it so not to lose it.
Easy is to think about improving.
Difficult is to stop thinking it and put it into action...
Easy is to receive.
Difficult is to give.
Easy to read this.
Difficult to follow.
i find alot of truth in the above......

A few lines to say what love REALLY is:
Ishq Nahin Aasaan Ishq Bada Mushkil..
Ishq Ke Raahi Ko Milti Nahi Manzil ..
Ishq Mein Kuch Bhi To Hota Nahin Haasil..
Ishq Hai Kya Is Ishq Ko Koyi Samajh Na Paya
Ishq Mein Jab Jee Ghabraaya Dooriyan Dil Seh Nahin Paya
Kitne Deewanee Ho Gayi Main Kuch Samajh Na Aaya ..
Love is not easy, indeed it is very hard
The one who treads its path never achieves his destination
You gain nothing in love
What is love, noone has ever understood it,
Love is when your heart flutters, when distance cannot be tolerated,
how crazy have i become, i dont understand a thing.

A Muslim Paradise is not a place of arrival, but a way of Travellin
subhanallah!
The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

In the name of Allah,
The Most Gracious, The Most High
The youth today,
On their mind no longer play.
They have turned the other way,
Now only Allah they obey.
A teacher says “Oh child!
Why you let your beard grow wild?
Why not cut it, nice and clean…
Then you’d be ‘with it’ ‘in the scene’?”
Bro, he answers back
“In my hand I have the Haq!
Therefore nothing do I lack.
Prepared to Fight for this reason,
Coz in the end We cant be beaten…
Coz we’re the..
Soldiers of Allah
We say ‘Lailaha ilallah’
As the Soldiers of Allah
We hold no fear for the kufar
As the Soldiers of Allah
We will fight for no other
As the Soldiers of Allah
We’re promised Victory or Jannah”
A sisters told to marry this man,
He doesn’t pray or read Quran,
But mother says “He’s from our clan,
So Shut Up! And follow the plan!”
Daughter argues “But mama look at him!
And I’m a young, practicing Muslim!
Cohabitation between us would be a sin
I wont leave my deen and let Honour win
I want a brother who hates the west system,
And fights for the oppressed Muslims.
He’s prepared to use a sword
If its to help his final abode.
I want him to be a Ghazi,
Ready to kill Zionist Isreali,
And no doubt will we have, me and my mate,
Of the eventual establishment of the Islamic State
Coz we’re the…
Soldiers of Allah
We say Lailaha illallah
As the Soldiers of Allah
Intentions to spread Haq near and far
As the Soldiers of Allah
We know Allah will give us Honour
As the Soldiers of Allah
We know its through Jihad Fisabillah”
Brothers and sisters, don’t you see,
That you’ll die when its you destiny.
So would you rather drown in this world,
Or die on the battlefield?
I guaranty, if we unite as one Ummah
You’ll see the Kufar shudda,
Coz even unbelievers know,
United, we become their greatest Foe.
We need to embrace Jihad to win,
Coz 3 days without a Khalifa puts us in sin,
But to implement Sharia in our lands,
They first need to be taken out of Kufar hands.
Allah is the Protector of the believers,
So how can you consider we can be beaten?
Peace treaties and compassion? Your wastin your time!
Just take up your arms, and go head for the front line!
As the…
Soldiers of Allah
Fight for lailaha illallah
The Soldiers of Allah
Follow in the footsteps of the Sahabah
As the Soldiers of Allah
We live and die for Al-Jabbar
As the Soldiers of Allah
We Unite, One Body, One Ummah

Where are my brothers?
Where are my brothers?
I need a sister to hold me…
Where are the others?
I thought we made up one body…
When they touch us
When they force us
When they pin us down
and hold us
We feel helpless….we feel worthless…
Our hands are tied
behind our back,
children tortured
till they crack…
We’re made to watch it, forced to watch it..
Now I am scared…
I am lonely…
I need help….
Oh if only
You were here….You were here
Where are my brothers?
I need a sister to hold me…
Where are the others?
I thought we made up one body…
Lowered my gaze
All my life,
Kept myself pure
Till I was a wife…
Think how I feel, when my cloths they peel…
Our men felt strong
They were Protectors…
Now their hands are tied
As they watch their sisters…
But they cant help them….and this kills them…
Brother stands watch
From where they hide,
Sister makes Dua’
That they’ll be fine…
And brothers just 10…and sister is nine…
Where are my brothers?
I need a sister to hold me…
Where are the others?
I thought we made up one body…
WHERE ARE YOU BROTHER!!!!
I need someone to save me!
why do I bother…
When you ignore my call and plea…
WHERE are you sister?
Open your eyes, can’t you see!
Today I am who they’re after
But tomorrow you will replace me…
And to the others…
Who ignore me…My Ummah!
You failed as my protectors…
You’ll be accountable, so fear Allah…
Where are my brothers?
I need a sister to hold me…
Where are the others?
I thought we made up one body…
where are my brothers…

A Muslim Paradise is not a place of arrival, but a way of Travellin
dont agree with some of the stuff in the 1st poem , i take it lyrics from 'Soldiers of Allah'
The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

good point...alhmaduililah...but masha Allah it would be soo cool if us muslims were united together but not seen as a foe or anytin but as a peaceful, loving and devoted ummah!

SubhanALLAH what an excellent poem.
That other poem by som1 abt where are u brother is deep.
Ya ALLAH Madad.
Haq Chaar Yaar
Ya ALLAH Madad.
Haq Chaar Yaar
