Suits is a brilliant show set in a law firm which revolves more around the personal struggles and relationships of the workers than the law work itself. The scripts are usually filled with quick witted genius dialogue and the plots themselves are entertaining too. I would say I recommend it, but after the ending of last season I'm questioning whether I should I watch it myself. Of course I can, and did, just not watch the innaporpriate scenes but that's not the point.

Anyway that was just some background information. And bear with me, this IS a Ramadan reflection

So I saw these tweets last night

do you know about stages of sleep? there's deep sleep and not so deep sleep and we're suppose to put our alarms on during that "not so deep" sleep time coz its the best time to wake up

[they say sleep cycle - light sleep to light sleep - lasts on average 90 mins so we should put our alarms on at multiples of 90 and we'd wake up more easily]

anyway, when im going through light sleep (im assuming here), especially round morning time i can hear snatches of conversation going on around me; people on landing talking, siblings getting ready for school etc...

and i hate it.

i dont know if you've experienced this before, if yes, how dyou feel about it?

I dont want to tidy my room!

its a shared room you see, so why should i be the one stuck in there?

quick practical straight forward advice that one can implement right there adn then.

why do you act like it's not your problem

i know you're busy, i know you've got a life

but why do you turn a blind eye on this

i might have a bit more free time,

i might be lazying about

but i can see the consequences looming on the horizon

i might be a bit more sensitive

and again have too much spare time

Pick a day when you’ll try to be grateful to Allah.

Allah deserves our thanks all the time, and we shouldn’t limit our thanks in any way… but set aside one day when you’re more grateful than normal. A day when you wake up and go to sleep, and your whole goal is to be grateful to Allah, to thank Him, subhanahu wa ta’ala, as much as you possibly can.

Thank Him for the air you’re taking in with your lungs, and for each breath He’s given you – without having to do anything on your part – since the day you were born.
