whats the point of age?
Isnt just another social control agent?
to tell us what to do and what to not do at different time in our life? things that are/are not acceptable in society?

(and birthday parties. big money makers for shops.)

My friends wants to buy me something, (dunno why as they do for me as much as i do for them) but that doesnt matter...

i know it sounds like i'm full of myself. the thing is, i would DEFINITELY accept a little present from my friends as i know that i wouldnt want someone to refuse a present i give them, but they want to buy something in the hundreds of pounds!!!

I cant accept that! when i was talking about the thing i wanted, it was just whim, i didnt think they'd take it seriously!

what IS the point?

you turn your back on the world...and some RANDOM person comes along and hugs you and you had NO idea there were there, NO idea how long they've been there...watching you and there's NO way you can escape the hug...

if you intend to close yourself on the world, please just turn sideways...

if you turn sideways you can keep an eye on the world so no one can try and hug you, hugging a shoulder is VERY uncomfortable so even the randomest person wont last long, and you can definatly see the hug coming so you can escape it.

isnt there a saying "keep your friend close and your ennemies closer" if you've decided to make the World your ennemy then how can you afford to turn your back on it??

I was just reading on the aggregator a story by Islam in Europe about the response in Denmark to a non Muslim pop star called Medina.

She was born in Chile and apparently it is a popular name there.

Muslims are deeply offended that someone called medina will go on stage to perform her song and dance and to tittilate her audience. How dare the woman desecrate the name of the second holiest city in Islam!

Except that even if her name was from arabic, the word madina in arabic means "city".

the city was originally called Yathrib and after the hijrah it was known as "Madina tun nabi" meaning "city of the prophet".
