It has come to my attention that I focuss too much on the evils of Israel and the plight of the people in Gaza.

I think this needs to be rectified. First of all, I offer a little focus on Somalia.

I dont think I agree with the litany from a work of fiction. Fear needs to be respected and listened to, even if not always given in to.

So it's that time of year again! :D... No not winter, christmas and SALES but Hajj, sacrifices and EID 😃

My parents just mentioned going on hajj and stuff which reminded me of something. Couple of years ago my parents mentioned that we might all go to Umrah.

My immediate thoughts:

OMG i'm not ready! i can't go yet!

What if i don't *feel* the spirtualness, the closeness, the awe, the love

What if i just can't concentrate?!

What do i tell mum and dad, though? I can't say I don't want to go

:S

We didn't end up going.

But I now realise, that was all just Shaytaan putting me off from going. Whispering in my ear. Trying to create fear by using one of my greatest fears.

I reeeeealllly love my mum. And i have soooo much respect for her when I think about how much of a NIGHTMARE i was when i was little. The one incident that comes to mind is my big sisters birthday. She'd just turned 19 and my mum had baked her a GORGEOUS cake with thick pink icing which was slathered ontop and a cute horse made out of marshmallows and toothpicks ontop! To an eight year old, it was a thing of wonder... half toy and half cake!!! Ooooooooh the glorious possibilities!!!! 😃
