but it is about tolerating them.
Think about it.
People are always calling for "the ummah" to "unite" and generally set out new places and positions to unite, telling them to leave the bickering of old.
But what these people don't understand is that there have been differing opinions and views from the start - going as far back as the first caliph and how to deal with the insurgent tribes in Arabia or even earlier to how to elect a new leader.
When Muslims have been united, it has not been because there have been no differences - rather because they weer tolerant of them, allowing others to have diferring views.
I would like to first and foremost advice all of you to get hold of the book and read it as I found in extremely beneficial and inshaaAllah you will too.

It was completed by Hasan Tariq.[1][2] It cast Waheed Murad, Rani, Rukhsana, Munawwar Zareef, Saiqa, Kamal Irani, Tamanna, Ilyas Kashmiri, Aslam Pervez and Sangeeta (as guest star). The film is based on India's Lucknow culture.
The caste system among Muslims
Sources indicate that the castes among Muslims developed as the result of close contact with Hindu culture and Hindu converts to Islam.
Religious scholar Yoginder Sikand elaborates that the caste system among Muslims was not due to the "influence of Hinduism among a previously 'pure', 'uncontaminated' Muslim community," but rather to "the continued impact of Hindu beliefs and customs on the converts who still remained within a largely Hindu cultural universe and retained many of its associated beliefs and practices"
Discriminations
In some parts of South Asia, the Muslims are divided as Ashrafs and Ajlafs.
Ashrafs claim a superior status derived from their foreign ancestry.
just wanted to know.. what sort of foods do people eat to break their fast..
I have recently read a book by Mustafa Akyol titled "Islam without extremes", which is trying to answer the great mystery in Islam. The author quotes David Forte who makes the following statement:
* cherish close/imediate family more
* cherish friends more
* no more making a foul of oneself
* no more getting used
plenty others. but i like the first two more. It makes you realise the value of what you have.
