Salaams!
I haven't been on here for a little while, but i've been very busy trying to sort myself out.
Now, after lots of job-hunting, iv been offered 3 jobs all at once!!
...
2 in turkey, starting middle of next month, 1 is in Ankara (the capital) but it's only for 6 weeks, the other is in Konya which is the hometown of Rumi & is all spiritual apparently, & is for over 2 months so I would prefer that I think.
But then I just got offered a job in THAILAND for the whole summer, but it starts on May 28th so I'd have like just over a week 2 sort EVRYTHING out, inc visas & moving house back 2 my mum's to look after my stuff for the summer... Plus the contract is until the very end of September, so I owould have to come strait back 2 Uni without any time yo organise where I'm loving next year or anything, b& I won't b able to have any holiday this year.... But I get to live in a jungle....
Advicess?
Shukran!

Wsalams!
Oh Em Gee! Your job offers sound great! Well you haven't explained properly what they are, but they're in a different country so what's not to like eh! And Admin will be VERY jealous that you have two job offers in Turkey!
Thailand sounds good cuz it's for the whole summer - what exactly will you be doing in the jungle?! But because of all the organisation problems I would go for the Konya one, it might boost your spirituality too, and I dunno, I'm guessing it'd be good.
Is it the same job, in all three places?

Would this just be a summer job?
Go to where you really want to go.

I'm sure that's what he would do rather than listen to a bunch of people online lol.
Maybe he's having trouble deciding cuz he likes all three the same or just wants to see what we think, or just wants to show off about having three job offers in Turkey and Thailand!

Thailand! The people are lovely and you have so much to see and do.
Whats the job like?
If Konya is developed and not as busy as the other two, that is what I would choose (since I guess Ankarra would be too close to being like a metropolitan city that you have lived long enough in?).
(Actually, I would most likely stay at home.)

hmm,, well i wasnt exactly showing off I am genuinely having lots of trouble deciding. all the jobs are teaching english BUT my options are cut now because even though I replied only 6 hrs after being sent the job offers from turkey, the position in Konya is filled.
..
Ankara is quite a boring city apparently, and I wont earn much money if I'm only working for 6 weeks, but they pay for all flights, accommodation and meals. And I guess I could add a holiday afterwards in Turkey traveling down to the mediterranean or something. But I'd still need another job for the rest of the summer which leaves me at square one.
The job in Thailand is teaching classes of about 40 kids but its full time so i wouldn't have much time to see all the sights. there are a few positions but anything like that could always be a bit dodgy I've heard stories about ppl having their passports taken so they have to stay for the whole time.
...and monsoon season starts in june too!
But on the positive side: 4 months full work, decent pay and free accommodation, leave all the bs at home and experience a whole new culture.
negatives: it would mean putting on hold ALL my previous plans, missing out on end of uni year events etc, also, I'd be coming strait back at the end of september to uni without having sorted out where I'm living etc.
and would be an EXTREMELY hectic week and a day getting visas, shots etc.

Don't just do something! Stand there.
and everyone i ask says 'follow your heart' or 'do what you most want to do' but that doesn't help.
I think choice is an illusion, but this is testing that theory
Don't just do something! Stand there.
i would pick konya.
only because it's where the mazar of mawlana rumi (ra) is.
Ip dip doo. Out goes you. Put it in a hat. Random choice. Whatever happens, happens. Don't look back.
Too much thought = chaos and boredom.
Thailand.
edit: Istikhaarah?
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
I doubt they are that important.
If you need the money, go Thailand.
If its more to fill time, provide structure, then Ankarra.
(@ above posters - he said Konya position is taken.)

I like s.b.f's suggestion.

i thought about tossing a coin but i think i'll just see who emails me through all the documents and info first... There might be a possibility of work in london after coming back from turkey, taking foreign students from Muslim countries around London.. its not really teaching but at least its something.
but working in London isnt quite as exciting as thailand. I'm still really stuck, flipping between ideas and stuff.
@admin: i meant more about not getting chance to say goodbye to ppl who wont be here next year, because i'lll be too busy getting organised to see them, more than the events themselves. Also I've been working on a project with someone and we'd have to put it on hold for, like 1/3 of a year when its not finished. thailand will still be there next year, perhaps with more chance to organise in time.
/hmmm-ing still

This would kinda put me off going there tbh...

Stop copying Noor.
Err Noor does not say that. Not normally anyway, unless she's in a weird mood.
 << feel free to say I'm copying Noor here (although I'm sure you know, I love rolling my eyes, myself. )

meh, here you could be copying any of the older revivelette. Ocean, or even rawr. so i'll say: stop trying to act old woman!
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
Why do I keep getting lumped with Noor and Ocean etc?!
I'm not as old as them, they were here way before me! ¬_¬
And @ Ya'qub, Rumi's awesome!
Yeah you should go to the spiritual place
as for Malaysia, Why would you wanna live in a jungle anyway?
Esp if it compromises uni plans. But could you not sort that out before you leave anyway?
Most of my friends have already sorted out where they're gonna live next year.

Have you?

If you're talking to me, then yes I have.
I don't even see the point of going back to uni next year though.

that's your own fault girlie! you're the one who kept saying WE acted immature and you didnt feel part of us or something.
seriously: you're way more mature than i'll ever be most probably and you dont wanna be lumped with us anyway.
additionally, i dont know you well, i just know the odd comments by Rawr. not much of a personality in my head. and noor and ocean are too complicated for my head, so you just kinda end up over there...in the blurry section. but that's just me.
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
Lol, right...

Don't just do something! Stand there.

my advice: study the thing u like best and worry about career later.
How are u supposed to know what u want to do in life if u haven't experienced much of it yet?
Don't just do something! Stand there.
I is glad u asked! Im going to Turkey also!
Then I plan to fill my days with little outings here and there. I should probably go Brighton as well..oh and Im going Thorpe park! and a tea party...with lots of cake ! and a coupla weddings which should be fun..What else..I think thats it..so far!
"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find rest"
I know that's good advice but these days there doesn't seem to be a point in going to uni if you haven't got solid chance of getting a job out of it, I mean cuz of the uni fees and everything :/ And I don't want to to do something completely useless either.
Anyway the big problem is I don't know what subject I want to study. But I have only looked at the typical stuff and not in any great detail either, so yeah that's why I need to look into it more.
I think I might go thorpe park too, but might not be able to with ramadhan and fasting and all that.

i kid, i kid.
i gotta finish them alevels first...urghh...
