Two car bombs found in West End

Police have confirmed they are now investigating the discovery of two car bombs in the West End of London.

Police said the second device was found in a Mercedes hours after the car had been given a parking ticket in Cockspur Street and towed to Park Lane.

Another Mercedes, with a bomb made up of 60 litres of petrol, gas cylinders and nails, had been found outside a nightclub in Haymarket at 0130 BST.

Both devices were similar, viable and clearly linked, police said.

My honest feeling at the time was that they deserved it, and as far as I am concerned that is still how I feel today.

People never look back to what led up to it - Pearl Harbour, Nanking - and there are no innocent civilians in war, everyone is doing something, contributing to the war effort, building bombs.

"Bad" Hijab Girl

Salaam to all

I unfortunately have been seeing some Muslim girls who wear the Hijab behaving rather un-Islamically. I sometimes see these girls at university and it is an issue which gets to me. I am by no means a perfect Muslim and I’m not coming on here to say this is what and what not you should do, but it saddens me to see someone disrespecting the Hijab in such a way.

This is something that the Holy Prophet(saw) fought for, the religion of Islam.

Whats your relationship like with Allah?

Salaam

Most Muslims pray, fast, give charity, avoid the haraam…and do the basics.

Some even actively work for Islam, by making a difference in their community, doing talks, organising classes and programmes etc

However, out of thousands and thousands of supposedly ‘active’ Muslims. Only a handful of them have a loving, relationship with God.

It’s not something that’s easy to generate…after all, how can you have a relationship with someone that you’ve never seen, heard or met.

What’s your relationship like with God? Is He the first One you turn to when you’re in trouble?

Love has certain signs which the intelligent man quickly detects, and the shrewd man readily recognizes. Of these the first is the brooding gaze: the eye is the wide gateway of the soul, the scrutinizer of its secrets, conveying its most private thoughts, and giving expression to its deepest-hid-feelings.

How to become more newbie friendly.

Salaam

This forums *was* supposed to be extremely simple and open. However it may not be meeting that goal (Kamilah said something along the lines of it being confusing...)

So, how can it be simplified?

My thoughts:

1. Rename the Rules forum to "Hello, New members." or something.
2. Have the rules and guielines as sticky in there.
3. Move the Hello new members topic from general to "Hello New members"
4. Split it up so each new intro is a new topic.
5. Allow new members to start a new topic to introduce themselves.

Whaddaya think?
