Advice for a friend

salam,

I have a friend who converted to Islam but has, simply, found it too difficult to adhere to the obligations put upon us. He still believes, but he can't stick to the routine. He sent me this email, can anyone help?

Hanafi ulema & opinions (rulings, rather)

Is it me or do the hanafi ulema generally have many differences of opinion amongst their circles, primarily between the indian ulema and the arabian ulema.

i.e. The issue of whether muslim females are permitted to shorten their hair or not?
indian ulema will say no pretty much unconditionally, while the arabian ulema will say yeah though imposing some conditions. (I wonder how many follow indian ulema on that issue !!!!)

Are there any more such fiqh issues which these groups of ulema differ upon?

Shia Muslims have decided to go to the ballot before resorting to the bullet in Kuwait.

Kuwait has many Shia Muslims and now they will win seats in Kuwait Parliament.

Both JPA and NIA are Shiite Islamist political parties in Kuwait who are about to take seats in Cabinet.
