Guidance

Muslims are not required to actively recruit others to Islam. In the Qur'an, Allah told Muhammad that "You certainly cannot guide whomever you please; It is Allah who guides whom He will. He best knows those who accept guidance." (28:56). Muslims are expected to explain Islam to followers of other faiths, but it is up to Allah to guide those whom he wishes to.

So...why doesn't Allah swt guide everyone? :S

Ali RA the 4th calipha

Ali(R.A.)

NAME AND PARENTAGE
Hadrat Ali (R.A.) was born some thirty years after the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu 'alaiha wa Salam). He belonged the most respectable family of Quraish, the Banu Hashim (i.e. Hashmites). His father Abu Talib was the real uncle of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu 'alaihi we Salaam) who brought him up after the death of the Holy Prophet's grandfather. Ali's mother was Fatimah bint Asad, who belonged to Banu Hashim. Hadrat Ali's patronymic name was "Abul Hasan". The Holy Prophet gave him another name, "Abu Turab" which was most liked by Hadrat Ali. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Salaam) took Ali in his childhood from his father, Abu Talib, and brought up him like his own son.

FIRST YOUTH TO ACCEPT ISLAM

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri declares suicide attacks ‘un-Islamic’

Islam does not permit at all the massacre of innocent citizens, and explosions, and suicide bombing in business centers, streets and markets, and mosques, national installations, and other public places. The terrorists and their groups are perpetrating obvious deviation and digression from the Islamic teachings, and, are spreading rebellion and militancy, and massacre and carnage, and disruption, dissension and strife on earth. The officers and men of the armed forces, and the law enforcing agencies, and the innocent citizens falling victim to these terrorist activities, and laying down their lives in the discharge of their sacred duty of the defense of the motherland are doubtlessly SHAHEEDS, the martyrs.

Who was Imam Ali

This is the belief of Shia Muslims on Imam Ali.

We Shias did not give any position to Imam Ali.
It was Propeht (pbuh) who named him his successor by saying
"I am Master of those who take Ali as their Master."

Its a true hadith according to both Sunnis and Shias.

This is true Islam as taught in Holy Quran and Holy Hadith:

1. Imam Ali is the master of the true believers.
2. Prophet (pbuh) is the master of Imam Ali.
3. Allah is the master of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Please give your views,
what you have been taught by your molvis, your own beliefs on Imam Ali.

Amir Khan: If I were white, I'd be a superstar

Those are the words of Amir Khan, who has been booed in every fight since his loss to Breidis Prescott over a year ago.

The Guardian News paper quoted him as saying "I can only say that sometimes ,skin colour does make a difference," Khan said. "I know for a fact if I were a white English fighter maybe I would have been a superstar in Britain, and the world."

Which is a damning verdict of race relations in the UK. However his father disagreed with Amir Khan and said "I don't agree with it. I don't know why he made those comments."

Short Reminder- Shaking hands

As Salaamu Alaikum wa rahmatullaah,

InshAllah you all are in the best of health and emaan.

Shaking hands is something that is mentioned and encouraged in sharee’ah, and it is a cause of sins being forgiven.

It was narrated that al-Bara’ ibn ‘Aazib (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are no two Muslims who meet and shake hands, but they will be forgiven before they part.” Narrated and classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi (2727); narrated by Ibn Maajah (3703); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 2718.
