just wanted to make a new forum on Christmas Holidays

anyone doing any thing special over the holidays or is just the same old same old...

oh and i nearly forgot...

im looking forward to doing all my assignments and revsing hard for my A level exams... :doubt:

InshAllah you all are well, in the best of health and emaan, and hopefully keeping warm!!

I am sure by now we have all had an experience where people sometimes let us down but if you put all your trust in Allah and Rely Solely on Him, He will never let you down ......."And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if anyone puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish His purpose. Verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion " (65:3).

Gelatine is now halal... WAAAHHH?

Was shopping the other day at the local supermarket.

And I picked up some hot chocolate Biggrin and i was thinking wouldnt it be cool if I cud find some halal marshmellows.

And then i spotted some on the shelf. Theres a HUGE logo on the front that says halal... but im not gonna trust that. So i immediately check the ingredients. And its said: 'Gelatine (halal),' ????

Me: How can Gelatine be halal??
Bro: Coz its prob made from a halal animal?
Me: Wahhh? I thought Gelatine could only be made from piggys?
Bro: Really?
Me: :? eerr i think so. Or mayb i heard that somewhere?

So what do you folks think???

UK Court issues arrest warrant for Tzipi Livni

Well, it seems an arrest warrant has been issued by a UK court for the arrest of former Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni over alleged war crimes carried out in the Israeli assault on Gaza last year.

Ms Livni has already cancelled a visit to the UK and over the past few months there have been other senior war mongers who had been warned against coming to the UK. Win.

However, it seems some parts of the UK government apparatus was caught off guard, and this arrest warrant may not be around for all too long:

Eritrea football team 'absconds' in Kenya

Officials have launched a search for Eritrea's national football team after the players reportedly failed to return home following a tournament in Kenya.

The Eritreans were knocked out of the Cecafa competition for East and Central African nations last week.

But when the team plane landed back home, it was reportedly only carrying the coach and an official.

Stranger danger changed the way children play

British children's play has been transformed in the last 100 years. Up to the 1960s there were few children who didn't spend much of their free time outdoors, playing in the fields, parks, streets, back alleys, old bombsites and local beauty spots.

This play was unsupervised by mum or dad and children were free to go on adventures far from home. Sadly this world of independent child's play has today largely vanished. One of the important reasons for this decline is the inexorable rise of stranger danger and child abduction in modern Britain.
