I have just got back from pakistan, and whilst there This man came and stayed at our house. They called him 'hasrat saab' and the local people used to come and see him with there problems. And asking his help to sort it out? He'd measure up the duppatas, pray and then blow to see if it got bigger or smaller.
Should we believe in all this? Should we not just pray direct to allah?
Pink taxis outside malls
By Ashfaq Ahmed, Staff Reporter
Dubai: Pink taxis will be deployed at places frequently visited by women, said an official.
The taxis will soon be on Dubai's roads to provide a "women-only" taxi service.
"The taxis will have pink roofs, pink seats and interiors, and other features to give the vehicles a feminine touch. We will roll out pink taxis with at least 50 cars in a few months," said Ammar Bin Tamim, Director of the Dubai Taxi Department at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Let me get straight to the point. I pray my namaz, but I am defo not regular. And this is making me really depressed. How can I pray more regularly? HELP! I find it hard to pray the fajr! I hate to admit it, but I am a lazy bugger who find it hard to wake up in the mornings!! But when I do pray it, I feel so much better, and always have a great start to the day!
Do you all pray on a regular basis?
any thing I can pray that will help me?
state schools v private schools!!
I can't seem to decide what to do. My hubby is all for taking our son out of the state system and into a private school!
But I'm not too keen as I spend alot of time with him doing school related work. i send him to kumon and we have an english tutor come round once a week.
I would like to put it off till he's in year 3 at least!!
Is there alot of pressure on the kids at private schools?
HELP! I need advice!
he's in year one!
Iv'e just read on the bbc that only 40% of primary schools do nativity plays........more and more of them are putting on culture shows instead. Is this a good thing?? I think so.
1 Coz I would hate to be the little donkey!! or even for my kid to b one!! lol!
2 Most of these christians don't even go to church.........so whats with the nativity play?? why is this SO important?
One question..........................ok two
1. are you guys going to d sales?
2. what bargain tips you guys got?
On Monday evening I left the house at around 5pm to take my son to kumon. After that, I went round to my mums house. My hubby called me at about 7pm, and told me that our home had been broken into.
They got away with our telly. A mobile that was being charged, and an lcd portable tv. They even took the remotes. cheeky!!
I can't get over the fact that someone was in my home. We worked hard for our things. And these idiot just walked in and took them off us. And we can't even do anything about it. They don't care about anything or anyones belongings.
do you know that on the aol message board,,,,,,,someone has started a thread about halaal food?
The stupid woman told the following story.............
a lady in a burqa went in to greggs and asked for minced pies (halaal). After being old that greggs didn't sell halaal mince pies, she apparently went barmy!! and went out in a huff. But thats after she was told she should either leave the country or eat meat killed in british way! The guy at the counter said she originally came in to ask if their donuts were halaal!
It was horrible reading all the coments on there........
When I was in pakistan last year, I met a family that left the uk, as they didn't like the western culture, and were afraid that it would have a negative affect on their children in the future.
Is it a bad thing to bring up children in the uk? And is it better to take them to pakistan or india?
I have heard on countless occassions that the children from "back home" are more islamic.........than the children from uk. And know more about the religion.
But I guess they haven't read the comments on this forum!
