Adoption

Salaam ppl

Some of us have a child/children. Most us want to have children one day. Some of us will have already decided how many we want. Some of us will have already decided on names and careers for them. But has it ever occurred to us well what if it not in our kismat (destiny) to be blessed with children then what? Guys would you marry again in hope that your handaan (family) name will carry on? Or would you stay with your wife and accept your fate?

Taking 'me time' is not a crime

Women spend three years of their life dressing up to go out. Quite right, says Bryony Gordon, getting ready is often better than the event itself

t's one of the world's great mysteries, as puzzling as the possible existence of intelligent life on other planets and the whereabouts of Lord Lucan. Why exactly does it take women so long to get ready for a night out?

Yesterday, it was revealed that the average female spends three years getting ready to leave the house. That's three years during their whole lifetimes, not just for one dinner party - though many men will feel as if they have, at times, been left waiting that long.

Eid ul-Adha

Asalam Walikum

I know its a bit early but hey what the heck.

Every Eid mum always buys everyone clothes (even if you dont want them or need them she doesnt take no for an answer). Dad use to give us money but now he says im too old which is ok with me coz it means the lil ones get more.

This Eid i was thinking about giving Eid presents to my family. I have never bothered before but this Eid im thinking why not (i must be getting soft in my old age).

organ donation

Asalam Walikum

Is this actually allowed in Islam?

Islam states that you should try to preserve life.

Does this include donating while you are still alive ie a kidney or when you are dead the more vital organs to survive ie the heart?

Are we not playing God by donating our organs?

If it is permitted in Islam would anybody ever consider donating?

Asalam Walikum Muslims and non Muslims

I couldn’t help but notice the atmosphere on this forum lately. I don’t know if its because ppl are getting bored of the holidays and therefore have nothing better to do or because Ramzan is round the corner so they are thinking lets cram in as many insults, snide digs and taking the mick out of someone as we can.

Whatever the reason it’s got to STOP! Most of the members that have joined this forum have been DRIVEN OFF as a result of our attitude towards them.

Jokes!

Asalaam Walikum ppl
I’ve noticed (as many of you probably have) that its kinda dead lately on this forum so just to spice things up and add a bit of humour feel free to add your jokes. I’m pretty sure there nothing in Islam forbidding jokes (if there is i apologise and admin feel free to delete this thread. Last thing keep it clean please.

Walikum salaam

husband and wife go to see a councellor.
The counsellor says to the husband "what is you wife’s favourite flower?"
the husband replies "elephant atta!"

An Asian man gets caught stealing a packet of sugar while buying a bottle of ribena from kwik save. In court he claims “not guilty because on the back of the drink it says sugar free!”

Middle Child Syndrome

Asalam Walikum

Does it exist?

Here are some theories

Quote:
The Perfect Older Sibling
Parents want their first child to be perfect, to be the best. Thus, older siblings tend to be more ambitious as they often bear the burden of their parent's expectations and dreams. Older siblings wield greater power over their siblings because they are bigger, stronger and more knowledgeable just by dint of being older.
Younger Siblings get away with Murder!
Younger siblings can use the fact that they are younger to their advantage.
