Interesting points are being made.
The covering of hair infront of children is a new one to me also but it is advisable for a woman to always have a scarf on her head, angels do not enter homes where women are bare-headed, nor do they come near them.
Regarding womens nature. We are all created with a nature, with a purpose. Hadrat Adam alayhis salaam was created first, He felt something missing, He felt the need for something to help Him. In response to Abba Adam alayhis salaam's needs Amma Hawwa alayhas salaam was created. This shows that the purpose of womans creation was to assist and help the man.
This does not mean women are slaves. What it does mean that womens purpose of creation was to assist and help and aid and serve the men. They were created for the home.

1. I made a mistake. Men and women, Jinn and Humans primary purpose is to worship ALLAH. After this worship women were created to be the help-mates of men.
2. I am unsure as to the source of angels not entering on bareheaded ladies, it is something I have read but I will not claim to remember its source. I apologise for confusion caused by that post. At the least we can say that women should cover their heads at all times, not necessarily with no hair showing , but merely with a scarf on the head as pakistani women do. Regarding sleeping and bathing and other things lol I dont think its sinful for her to have her head uncovered in privacy. Just that I heard it is easier for the angels to enter on women whose heads are coverd because of the angels high modesty.
Again I apologise for confusion caused.
The ruling of women keeping something on their heads at all times is from the point of view of taqwa. Technicalli/legally in our hanafi madhab a woman is free to have her head uncovered in privacy from men.

The only incident to which I can confidentally attribute this to is that of the moment the beloved Prophet
came down from the mountain, scared after seeing/hearing Jibraeel (as); where he sat on the left knee of Hadrat Khadija (ra), then on her right knee, and the angel stayed in view. He (Jibraeel (as)) only left when Khadija (ra) dropped her head covering.
Apart from that, I cannot for the life of me remember where else I heard/read anything re this matter.

why should women always have their hair covered or wear a headscarf even at home infront of mahrams? :shock:
you are suppose to do pardah infront of gayhr mahram, not mahram. a woman does not need to wear a headscarf at all at home infront of her husband, father especially.

which again is your OPINION. the ruling is clear. please dont bring your OPINION into it , pls. by saying:

There is a clear difference between Fatwa and Taqwa.
Fatwa can be dictated/preached to others whilst Taqwa can not.
Taqwa is a feeling that comes from within based on ones level of Iman.
Example of this was manifested in the life of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal when a dog brushed against his clothes and he washed his clothes….even though he used to tell his students that the fur of a dog is not considered impure.
That was his high level of Taqwa….however; the Fatwa that he had given to his students regarding this issue differed to what he used to do.
What a person chooses to do based on their level of Taqwa is a personal matter…we can not tell others what to do from our own “taqwa point of view”.
Even our Imams did not do that.

i can see where muslim sis is coming from - its frustrating to see ppl who are completely against women working, regardless of individual situations.
i have worked previously, but it was volountary work which i enjoyed doing. i've never felt the need for a paid job, as i know my dad doesnt mind paying for things i or my siblings need. we are very responsible with money and do not buy things unnecessarily, thats pretty much y our dad trusts us to take how much we need.
yashmaki seems to have posted some of the most rational posts on this thread - i agree with her... anything further i post in this thread would probably be in the same vain, so i'll leave it to u guys.

That is soo weak Ed. Unlike some people, certain people on this forum are not looking to alway attack people and what wrong with agreeing with Med interperation at time, I do as does Yash and I sure other do as well.
At least when Yash make a point of agreeing with Med she able to give a explantion with it as well like I do as well and not like she agree with him on everything, it can be said that when certain member agree with you, they actually don't bother given reason.

salt can only be rubbed in wounds if wounds exist. If anyone thinks I get affected by members comments here, then rest assured I dont. It may be noted when I feel the need to retratc or apologise I do so as soon as I feel the mistake is pointed out to me. It was pointed out that Muhtarama has not come across a hadeeth about angels not entering on bareheaded women, I pretty soon replied that I am unsure if it is hadeeth or what its source is and aplogised for confusion. I am not here to make friends because Muslims already share the relatinoship of islam and that is enough. I need to fulfill the rights of that relationship by chastsing when people go along an incorrect and bent path. And also to encourage people to the highest actions. No1s saying im issuing fatawa, I stated I encourage towards the highest action because aiming high will ensure that atleats you will achieve something more than you hoped for just be fulfilling the minimum.

yes the forums have become a bit immature and personal, mainly due to me and medieval. i simply cant stand his views, that's all. he stands against almost everything i stand for..and its difficult for me to stay quiet and not become passionate. Theres only so much one can argue before losing his rag.
i will join you and not visit the forums for a few days aswell. ive said almost everything i need to and i dont want to waste my time answering to medieval on almost every post.
