Imma gonna walk THIRTY MILES inshaaAllah!!

Assalaamu'alaikum my dear Revivalers!!

Im going to inshaaAllah walk 30 MILES sometime after Ramadan to raise money for Families Relief!

they're an awesome charity that tries to empower Families, not just when disaster strikes but also after, to help them become independent and sustainable. (can i describe the family as sustainable?)

anyway, please donate, even a lil quid.. and please spread the word!

Its ramadan! and its nearly over! so get these bank transfers from your dunya account to ur akhirah account! HUGE PROFIT! only a few days left! If im not mistaken the profit is actually x70. no bank on EARTH can Guarantee this kinda profit.

ok, enough with the bank analogy..

for the sake of Allah.

What I learned 10/8/2012

The last 10 days of Ramadan are the most blessed & we should increase our Worship & Devotion:

"Allah's Messenger used to exert himself in devotion during the last ten nights to a greater extent than at any other time." (Muslim).

"Aisha (Ra) reported: With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to tighten his waist belt (i.e. work harder) and used to pray the whole night, & used to keep his family awake for the prayers" (Bukhari)

The beautiful words of Rumi <3

This is a dedication for Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi.

The works of Rumi are marvelled at throughout the world, long after he had passed away. Have you ever heard of him? Do you know much about him? What legacy did he leave behind and why have millions been inspired by him?

Here, I'd like you to mention anything you know about him and his family. It would be even better if you shared examples of the beautiful words, quotes, poetry and prose that he wrote and what you like about them.

20:Searching for the night

this is the igotitcovered article for today. we're about tostart the last ten nights!

Last night was different. Last night I couldn’t resist, and I tingled with excitement as I felt the strongest urge to dress up. I showered. I wore my best hijab, a light blue shiny hijab with gold and copper-toned embroidery and delicate, sparkling sequins. I wore my best abaya, too, a long, flowing gown I save for the best occasions. I sprayed perfume over myself and everywhere, a light clean scent that’s one of my favorites.

Exceptionally Kind.

Igotitcovered is doing this series. everyday they post an article. and they are beautiful as far as ive read them.

here is the one for day 19, just read it today.

Ask yourself:

When was the last time you reached out to someone? Do you keep an eye out for people in need?

I spent days trying to look for something worth giving to you, now please accept it and give me the same thing back.

Attention, Fellow Revivalers, I went in search for a perfect gift for everyone of you. I managed to find one. It comes with absolutely no cost, no batteries required, non-taxable, silent performance, extremely personal and fully returnable.

That's just amazing, right? You couldn't have asked for more! Take a guess... (I probably haven't given you enough time to use that blessed brain of yours, but i'll tell you anyway!) Its.. (wait for it..)

A BIG SMILE FROM ME TO YOU!! (: So, let's liven up the mood a little and say: 'CHEEEESE!'

Setting my priorities straight.

this is mostly about morning and evening dhikr..well i think it is. might evolve into something else by the time i finish writing this.

so basically. I've alhamdoulillah managed to attend an intenside Quran class and its had an impact on me and for that i am SO GRATEFUL TO Allah coz imagine if approximately 28hrs of talking of the Quran hadnt affected me?!

anyway. Ive been feeling like its a duty and a must and a chore for me to do my morning and evening dhikr. the thought of having to do it EVERYDAY, TWICE A DAY  for the REST of my LIFE felt like... a burden. lets be honest.

and no one will force themselves to do something they find burdensome so dhikr kinda...scattered... and wasnt at a tolerable standard at all.
