Me in a nutshell

Salams to you all. Hope you're well.

Sorry if I've not done this right, this is the first time I've ever been part of a site like this.

The reason I'm here - to learn about other peoples perception of issues that affect them and the advise others give them and lear a thing or two in the process.

What I hope to input - Just what's on my mind. I like asking thought provoking questions (and hope it doen't offend anyone).

I'm quite easy going and don't mind anything.

If you think I'm becoming OTT, please let me know and I'll tell you to shut up Wacko

Egypt's plans for farewell intercourse law so husbands can have SEX with DEAD wives  branded a complete nonsense

Proposals that would have seen Egyptian husbands legally allowed to have sex with their dead wives for up to six hours after their death have been branded a 'complete nonsense'.

The controversial new law was claimed, in Arab media, to be part of a raft of measures being introduced by the Islamist-dominated parliament

The Prophet (saw) and his wives

Dear all,

Just listening to the documentary called: 'Divine Women: War of the words'

Of course two of the women mentioned and discussed are Khadijah (ra) and Aisha (ra).

My questions are:

1) Aisha (ra) was the Prophet (saw)'s favourite wife. Is that phrase allowed to be said?2) Why do not hear much about any of the other wives?

3) Which leads to why is Aisha (ra) special in comparison to the rest of the wives?

But Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith said there were "thousands of houses" within five miles of Newham which fell within the cap

Let's talk about us - Muslim Youth and our place in all this.

Assalaamu'alaikoum.

so, let's talk about something that isnt dailymail/lollywood related. something interesting that doesnt awaken by "i-just-wanna-annoy-you-with-this-reply" instinct. (even though i'm still wondering wether bats are halaal..)

Seriously.

Let's talk about us, the muslim youth. We're in the spotlight now, or we're coming to it. It's like a conveyor belt with a spot light starting about midway to the end. So the youth, we're on this belt and then the spotlight get shone on us. and then, we fall off the belt coz we aitn youth anymore.

So the spotlight moment, you might be in it right now, or you might be coming to it soon, the point is, what have you got prepared for it?
