Nightmare on Halloween

Halloween... originally a pagan festival marking the start of winter. Reduced to a commercial holiday where people dress up as ghosts, gobblins and slutty pumpkins.

Just had some kids turn up to my door "trick or treat"... dressed like freaks. But lets just say the treat we gave... wasnt just candy Mwhahahahhahaha.

Although personally i wouldnt celebrate such a festival im curious to hear what you guys have to say. Harmless fun? shirk?

Or alternatively if you have a scary story i'd like to hear that too.

organ donation

Asalam Walikum

Is this actually allowed in Islam?

Islam states that you should try to preserve life.

Does this include donating while you are still alive ie a kidney or when you are dead the more vital organs to survive ie the heart?

Are we not playing God by donating our organs?

If it is permitted in Islam would anybody ever consider donating?

Muslims sue over ham sandwich

Scores of Muslim inmates at a high security prison are set to launch a multi-million pound claim for compensation after they were offered ham sandwiches during the holy month of Ramadan.

They are now launching legal action, insisting that their human rights were breached and could each be entitled to up to £10,000 in compensation if they win their case at court.

They say their human rights were breached when they were given a special nightly menu - drawn up to recognise their specific dietary requirements - by officers at HMP Leeds last month.

My friend gave me a stick of trident chewing gum tropical twist flavour, it was very nice and I want to buy more but when looking on their website, I read that they 'use sugar alcohols with intense sweeteners'.

Motherhood story

01. When you were 1 year old, she fed you and bathed you.
You thanked her by crying all the night.

02. When you were 2 years old, she taught you to walk.
You thanked her by running away when she called.

When you were 3 years old, she made all your meals with love.
You thanked her by tossing your plate on the floor.

04. When you were 4 years old, she gave you some crayons.
You thanked her by coloring the dinning room table.

05. When you were 5 years old, she dressed you for the holidays.
You thanked her by looping into the nearest pile of mud.

Muslims and Asians and football

Salaam

Its said by some that the football industry can be racist, that a lot of asian rooneys are going unnoticed. Do you think its true? Why arent asian breaking through? They never seem to get past the academies. Or are they just not that good? Or is not a good proffession to enter?

My brother could have gone for man city trials.........but mum didnt see the importance of it, better to study etc. Is that right? Why is it that we all have to be lawyers like they made me, docs, pharmacists etc......being a footballer isnt seen as respectable by some people!

THE GLOBAL PEACE AND UNITY EVENT 2007

Salaam

The two day massive, family oriented extravaganza is back on again in London on the 24th and 25th of November.

In previous years I’ve attended a lot of these events - at the Excel Centre, Alexandra Palace, Wembly arena, local Town halls…I even used to attend the ones that took place out of London.

However, I don’t attend these events as much as I used to for many reasons….

1.It takes up an entire day or two. It’s very exhausting.

2.Can be expensive. A two day ticket for the Excel for one person is £20. It costs £9 to park your car in the car park for a day.
