US storm over book on Israel lobby
The power of America's "Jewish lobby" is said to be legendary.

Commentators the world over refer to it, as though it were a well-established fact that US Jews wield far more influence than their numbers (2% of the population) would suggest.

But this presumed influence is also a delicate issue in the US, and is rarely analysed.

How does the lobby work?

The National Council of Imams and Masajid

The National Council of Imams and Masajid

British Government has been frustrated that a large number of Imams were born and educated in Pakistan, speak limited English, but well versed in their mother tongues, Arabic, Urdu and Farsi, making it difficult for the Government to know what is going on in the Masajid. A Mistake Worth its Weight in Gold

A Mistake Worth its Weight in Gold

From the Original Arabic Piece by Adel bin Muhammad al-Abdul 'Aalee
Translated by Abu Dujanah

One of the Salaf entered a field, hungry and tired, so he wanted to eat, and his stomach was 'rumbling'. He saw an apple tree, and picked an apple to eat. He ate half of it under the protection of Allah, then he drank from the river near the field. After that, he suddenly realised that he was not aware of what he did due to his hunger, and thought to himself: Woe to you! How can you eat someone else's provision without permission.

Cyclone-Battered Bangladesh

Cyclone Sidr has ravaged the southern coast of Bangladesh. Aid services put the death toll at nearly 3,500, while the Bengal Red Crescent expects it to rise to between 5,000 and 10,000 by the time the disaster is over.

The cyclone hit the southern coast of Bangladesh on Friday, November 16, 2007. Strong winds at a speed of 240 km/h (150 mph) created 6-meter-high (20-foot) tidal waves that crashed into the coastline.
