The Argument from Design: A Video Introduction by Hamza Andreas Tzortzis

A video introduction on the argument from design for the existence of God. Hamza Andreas Tzortzis argues that God makes sense of the fine-tuning of the universe to permit life. The premises of the argument are:

1. The fine-tuning of the universe to permit life is due to physical necessity, chance, or design.
2. It is not due to physical necessity or chance.
3. Therefore, it is due to design.

Please watch to see how Hamza expands on the premises using philosophical, scientific and rational arguments.

Has Saudi Arabia ran out of oil?

First Saudi stops oil exploration in order to "save the wealth for our successors" and then they also are preparing to sign a civilian nuclear power cooperation deal with France.

Am I being a little silly or does this hint at them running out of oil?

(I don't buy the idea that they would be looking to protect their long term future by limiting their current sales of oil.)

"Two thirds of Muslim marriages in the UK are unregistered"

I was just reading this and one comment in there stood out in there to me:

There is nothing which prevents Muslim Marriages being registered under the Marriage Act 1949 but in practice only 120 Mosques are registered under the Act and unofficial estimates I have been given suggest that only around one third of the Muslim Marriage ceremonies (Nikah) performed in Britain are registered under the Marriage Act. The remaining unregistered wedding ceremonies are in fact illegal under s75(2)(ii) of the Marriage Act and the Imams involved could face up to 5 years imprisonment but it is a crime the Police seem to simply ignore.

Somaliland [ Autonomous Breakaway Region of Somalia]

Very little official data exists on this state - the CIA don't even have a section on it.

Yet in parliament it was voiced the government promised to increase funds there due to its 'democratic' nature, or to that effect.

Considering no sovereign state to date recognises its existence, and only a particular 'Jewish state' in the region has voiced an opinion for it to be recognised, what is the importance of such a state in the 'Horn of Africa', whilst the state from which it's seceded remains in chaos, and amongst the worst 5 in the world.
