Shaikh Tarabishi highest Isnaad in the world in Quran passes away & Habib Ali Jifri

May Allah have mercy upon our scholars. Shaikh Bakri Tarabishi (RA) from Damascus has passed away in Dubai and the Jazanazah was led by Shaikh Habeeb Ali Jifri.

He was one of the most pious of the Ulama that I have had the honour of meeting and one of the greatest teachers of the Quran from the old generation. In the past few years we have lost great Qurra such as Shaikh al-Muqri Muhuddin Kurdi (RA) and Shaikh Mohammed Sukkar (RA). Shaikh (RA) was constantly dedicating his time to his students until he became bed-ridden and very ill around 2010. I last met Shaikh in 2010 in Muhajireen, Damascus and he was very ill and kindly apologized for not being able to have guests.

Three-point plan of forbidding evil in your life.

"If one of you sees a wickedness, let him change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so then by the use of his tongue; if he is still unable, then with his heart and this is the weakest form of Imaan (faith)."

In several riwayaat that are also authentic is states the additional words, “And after that not even a mustard seed or equivalent of Imaan is left."

Make a Wish: What do you wish for?

I put this question to my esteemed mentor Shaikh Mohammed Daniel and he replied thus:

"This sounds to me to be the story in which Sayyidina Abdullah Ibn Umar ibn Khattab(RA) the great Sahabi and erudite scholar of this Ummah, showed his extreme sagacity in the company of three of the tabi'een.

Musab Ibn Zubair ibnul Awwam (RA), Urwah ibn Zubair ibnul Awwam (RA) and Abdul Malik ibn Marwan were gathered one day with Sayyidna Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Khattab(RA)

Musab ibn Zubair said; As we are next to the Kaa'ba let us all make a wish (ta manuw) and Allah may accept our wish through the blessing of this gathering and your responding with 'Ameen'

So they said to him, as you have suggested this, why don't you start by making your wish first.
