Please help! Awrah of a young woman

Sidi Ustadh Mohammed Daniel,

I sometimes read and post on a popular forum on the internet and yesterday I was shocked to find that a person had posted a link to a sport video that should not only showed a man in shorts above the knee, but also young women dressed in short skirts and t-shirts. I wrote a polite note telling the brother that he should not post such links that show the ‘awrah’. My post was deleted and these were some of the comments that were posted which I found fairly sad because they are responsible people in their communities and one is even a translator of Islamic texts.

Musab Ibn Zubair ibnul Awwam (RA), Urwah ibn Zubair ibnul Awwam (RA) and Abdul Malik ibn Marwan were gathered one day with Sayyidna Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Khattab(RA)

Musab ibn Zubair said; As we are next to the Kaa'ba let us all make a wish (ta manuw) and Allah may accept our wish through the blessing of this gathering and your responding with 'Ameen'

So they said to him, as you have suggested this, why don't you start by making your wish first.

Leader of Algerian Ulama passes away at 93

إنا لله وإنا اليه راجعون

It is with great sadness that we inform you that one of our elders and Shouyoukh has passed into the mercy of Allah. Shaikh Abdur Rahman al-Sheybaan (RA) was born in the year 1918 and passed away on the 12th of August 2011 at the grand age of 93 after a lifetime of serving the deen in numerous positions of office and responsibility.

اللهم اغفر له وارحمه وعافه واعف عنه وأكرم نزله ووسع مدخله واغسله بالماء والثلج والبرد ونقه من الخطايا كما ينقى الثوب الأبيض من الدنس اللهم أبدله دارا خيرا من داره وأهلا خيرا من أهله اللهم أدخله الجنة وأعذه من عذاب القبر ومن عذاب النار

With his (RA) passing another bright star of the Islamic world fades.
