It's funny and entertaining when you're young, bored and easily pleased. You only find out how truly awful a TV show is after a period of watching very little TV and thinking more about real life and your responsibilities.
It's the same with Eastenders. It's only now that I'm not "hooked" by any of the various "storylines" that I can see how utterly rubbish the acting is.
Try it with a show you used to watch as a kid. If you were to watch Fun House, Grange Hill or Postman Pat now you would see how simple, tame and, at times, patronising it all is. But when your young and you have nothing better to do you think it's your favouratist TV programme.

lol soo true Irf, the "humour" in Kenan & Kel is too exagerated and the fat one always over-acts....However Fresh Prince is one prog. that I can't get sick and tired of even if I watch the same episode again. Same with my wife and kids, "micheal" just kills it.

I always found Fun House lame. Grange hill I never watched. Just didn't buy it. same with Eastenders. Postman Pat was before my time. I started watching TV pretty late. Supposedly did not like the thing when I was young.
Fresh Prince was good though.
It's probably because I am not too much of a TV person. I can laze infront of it (but I don;t since sky got all these 'Islamic' channels Its always on one of them, so I just avoid TV full stop.)
Only good series was Firefly, but that got cancelled. Apart from that I watched Frieds for a bit til I found it lame. and then spinCity. It was too silly to find lame. goood stuff.
Now I will watch House when the next series comes on. Maybe BSG, but it does not look likely.

Used to watch Kenan & Kel, Sister Sister and Brandy's show Moesha. I agree with Beast and Angel about the humour - I couldn't watch them now, especially not the first two. Fresh Prince was really good, but seen all of them too many times now. My Wife & Kids - that is brilliant. I dont think I'll ever tire of that , it is hilarious, 'Michael' is soooo funny. I hardly watch any TV these days, used to watch House sometimes, and I think CSI is quite good.
