Yes it does.

So does the fact that you couldn't care less, I sing your praises.

Whatever you do, know that I will always love you. Or else.

Salaam

A dervish saw a dream in which he heard a voice telling him to go to a certain shop where he would find a scroll containing the clue to a hidden treasure. On waking he went to the shop and having found the scroll he read it carefully and followed the directions and persevered in the quest for a long time….but all his efforts were in vain until he gave up hope and begged Allah (swt) to help him.

Allah (swt) never refuses the plea of His servant who sincerely declares his utter dependence and helplessness to Him.

Many converts to Islam have said that before they became Muslims, they reached a point in their lives in which they implored Allah (swt) with all their hearts and emotion that Allah (swt) guides them…they literally begged Allah (swt) to “Just show me what to do”….Yusuf Islam tells in his story that he was once drowning in the Pacific Ocean near Malibu, California and in desperation he called out to God to save him…and that if He did he would seek out His guidance. That’s how he came into Islam.

A moment of desperation and utter helplessness can often be the best thing that happens to a person.

Jis tarhan saqi ko dervesh ki zaroorat hai, is-hee tarhan dervesh ko saqi ki zaroorat hai

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

in my heart i seek purity but in my character there is a baseness which i'm too fond of to let go. i feel that if i did let go the essence of me would be lost. and that which i crave now i would not crave so desparately.

That was so beautiful.

I can read it a thousand time and still not get bored. Such depth. I am amazed.

You are a very special soul. Honest. Courageous. Sublime.

I'm sorry but that is strictly forbidden.

Its a sacred experience and, therefore, naturally, the idiots are not allowed access to it.

Many of us (esp me) always ask and ask and ask and ask…I can’t remember a time when I never wanted something so badly from Allah (swt)…once I get one thing, I hardly have time to express my gratitude for it because after my dua gets answered I immediately begin to need and ask for something else.

It makes me feel bad…cos I’m ALWAYS asking for something from Him, even though He has given me so much and its not like I’m deserving of anything…. but if I don’t ask, expect, depend or rely on Allah (swt) who can I ask from?

A great Saint once highlighted this dilemma by stating “How can I ask you for any favours knowing how disobedient I am, but how can I NOT ask you for anything knowing how Generous You are”.

Some Sufi’s never used to raise their hands in dua to Allah (swt), they perceived this as showing displeasure at the Divine Decree…they were satisfied and content in ALL situation…such was the extent that they had submitted to His will.

All I ask for is a tall ship and stars to steer her by.*

---------------------------------------------

* Here the ship is an allegory for a good woman; and stars will be her children.

It is through her children that a good husband steers the course of his wife towards perfection and joy.

Meaning is that a wife is most happiest when she has a man whom she really trusts, and whom she finds to be a responsible father to their children.

And, ofcourse, a good wife is like a ship sailing upon the ocean; she carries her husband and his children through all the ups and downs of life.

Cray 2 That was deep, brought tears to my eyes.

Anyone else heard the elevation theory?

Oh, I heard that some saints can physically be in more than one place at a time. E.g. giving a lecture in london, leading dhikr in manchester, all while the saint is in beirut praying isha namaaz.

anyone else heard that? sounds well cool, i could scare loadsa people with that ability Dirol Lol

Some ppl make their goals the stars.
They may live n die n never reach the stars,
but in the darkness of the night, those stars will guide them to their destination.
Becuz they made them in their eyesight

Cant u see the depth of what he's saying. He said he wants to marry a tall ship, so he can go out to sea, to seclude himself from the dunya, and contemplate on the akhira.
