One of the best ways to do dua is to ask Allah (swt) through His 99 names….e.g “Ya Ghafaro (one who forgives) …You love to forgive so I ask that You forgive all the sins that I may have committed knowingly and unknowingly….
Also one is closest to Allah (swt) whilst in Sajdah so plenty of dua’s should be made then…
Send Daroods…
Acknowledge ones dependency on the Superior Being…
Be sincere..be persistent…and ask through Wasila of ones good deeds.

don't forget to mention thanks to Allah (swt) for everything the Almighty has given you
people tend to concentrate so much on what they still want from God, they forget to give thanks for what they have already got

Wise words from a female.
Women often forget to do that in their mundane life.
I pray that God makes them a little most grateful when they fight over a lipstick.

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

Allah (swt) says through the lips of his beloved Prophet “If my servant prays (i.e. Salaah) and does not call to Me (dua) he maltreats Me. If he calls to Me and I were not to respond to him, I would maltreat him. But I am not a lord who commits maltreatment.

It is said that if one knocks on the Door persistently it will be opened for him…
In other words if you repeat your dua eventually you will be responded to…
However, Allah (swt) knows what we don’t know…So sometimes if we don’t get what we want it’s because Allah (swt) knows that we wouldn’t have been happy with what we are asking for…
Its always best when making a dua to add “only give this to me if YOU think it’ll be good for me in this world and the hereafter”.
