There should not be any doubt about the fate of the cursed Yazid. Not only was he a kafir and destined for Hell, but those so-called Muslims who love Yazid or the lovers of Yazid are destined for Hell. In this lecture Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri makes his views clear on this issue coupled with complete references to back up these views.
He also clarifies the distortions and misrepresentations made by supporters of Yazid on the hadith of Qustuntanya. As the Prophet SAW said that those who take part in the battle of Qustuntanya will go to Jannah. Followers of Yazid say he took part in that battle so he should not be cursed as a 'jahanami' but should be praised as a 'jannati'. This claim is totally false because Yazid did not even take part in the battle of Qustuntanya. As he refused to go and take part in that battle, he was sent by his father as punishment, afterwards, to go and take part, but by that time the Muslim army had finished its job and had left Qustuntanya, so Yazid was not part of that army. This is also discussed in detail by Shaykh-ul-Islam among other major issues regarding the fate of Yazid and those who follow and praise him.
Those who follow or praise Yazid are known as Kharijis and Shaykh-ul-Islam explains a tradition of Sahih Bukhari in detail that refers to Kharijis and how the Prophet SAW described them to be empty of Iman.

Btw I went to a talk yesterday, the topic was 'The Real Ahlal Bait'. Talk started off well but turned ugly. There were some Shias' and they kept interrupting, a sister got emotional and started shouting, another brother kept on asking questions and wouldn't shut up. Wasn't expecting none of that.... interesting to say the least.

you can stay neutral if you wish
but here is a man who killed the grandson of The Beloved Messenger (SAW)
and in many hadith, the Beloved Prophet (SAW) expresses how close he is to his grandchildren, and how much He (SAW) loves them.
We should love what the Prophet (SAW) loved.
if anyone was to kill a close one to us, i guarentee majority of us would be cursing them.
and to Admin, yes there are people who praise him....dr zakir naik being one of many

it is hadith that anyone who even thinks of causing harm to the people of Madina will be plunged into the hellfire by Allah SWT, and they are cursed heavily
and another hadith condemns even the person who cuts a tree in madina sharif
to kill the people of madina is not the same as killing a person from any other city
The Prophet (SAW)'s love for the city of Madina and the people of Madina and the Ahle Bayt was immense
in another hadith sharif, he gathered Syedina Ali (RA), Syeda Fatima (RA), Imam Hassan (RA) and Imam Hussain (RA) under a cloth, and stated that those enclosed within this cloth are the people of my house (Ahle Bait). whoever loves them, loves me, and whoever goes against them, goes against me
and whoever goes against The Prophet (SAW) has gone against Allah SWT.
its simple, logic, but today people are afraid of expressing love for the Ahle Bait for fear of being looked at as Shi'ite or something. A lot of people i have seen dont pay much attention to the battle of Karbala. this battle was very significant part of Islamic History, and we can all learn a lot from it, and should keep the events close to our hearts, particularly the way in which the muslims were martyred and starved from food and drink.
The Naat...Syed ne karbala main.........enables us to visualise to an extent the event, and the sacrifices, and it truly brings one to tears

Imaam Tabari records that when Imaam Hussain was maryted and the news reached Abdullah Bin Zubair (a companion), Abdullah Bin Zubair made a speech, in which he says: 'I swear by Allah, that Yazid has maryted Imaam Hussain; someone who used to spend his nights standing in prayer wheras Yazid spent his nights listening to music and watching women dancing. Can someone explain the significance of someone being of the lineage of the Prophet (saw). I know that Hassan and Hussein (ra) were blessed because the Prophet told us that they are blessed, but I don't see anything saying that they are blessed SOLELY because of their ancestry. Plus, I don't see how someone of later generations can claim some extra blessings/insight/knowledge because of their bloodline.
All I know is of a hadith where the Prophet stopped a group of people who were boasting about their lineage.
Plus, examples of previous prophets; The son of Prophet Nuh (as) was placed into the hellfire, Qabil commited the first ever murder even though he was Prophet Adam's (as) son, and the father of the Prophet Muhammad and the father of Prophet Ibrahim (as) are both in the hellfire.
Yet I've seen many Sheikhs boast about being able to trace their lineage from the Prophet (saw). is there any ahadith saying that all his descendants are going to Paradise? if not, where did this practice come from?
Can you please not shout? I have removed both the large size and the bold.

dont speak on behalf of all seyeds, shaykh muhammad al-yaqoobi, shaykh mawlana nazim, shaykh hisham are all seyeds and they don't boast. being a seyed doesn't mean you're going straight to jannah but imo i think they are blessed people purely because they come from either imam hussain or imam hassan radiAllahu anhum. imam hussain and imam hassan radiAllahu anhum were blessed and love by the Prophet for too many reasons, one because they were the sons of His most beloved daughter.

by 'boasting' i didn't mean in an arrogant way, more like mentioning it at all. Like in LOADS of biographies of different sheikhs/awliyya, I have seen it mentioned, like in some way it adds to the persons 'piety' or 'blessing'. It doesn't say this explicitly, its more implied. it may just be me liking to ask loads of questions.
I'm more concerned about the consequences of it though, if someone were to carry through that logic to other people.
Notions such as Original Sin come from similar thinking.
My great-great-uncle was a general in Victorian Britain who was very prolific at killing Muslims, especially in the Sudan; he also identified a large area of Jerusalem which has become very holy to Protestants.
an estimated 8% of Asians are the descendants of Genghis Khan, who is known has the most prolific man in history!
