sometimes impossible.
u can forgive, u can love thy neighbour jew/muslim, but trust is on some next level.. especially when leaders of the nations involved do not trust the rest of the world..
very fiddly indeed.

No Khan, if someone says they don't trust Jews, or bear any similiar ill-will, I do keep it in mind and it does impact the effect their other statements have on me. It doesn't make me distrusting, it has them be untrustworthy by choice. And Khan, can you see that a trusting person will take Sharon's comment at face value as meaning pretty much what I say, that Israel has a right to defend itself as it seeks peace, regardless, but that a cynic will take it as some kind of a snub to the world?
Can I ask, who hurt you?

Judda,
It does to the people who get involved and discuss matters the way we do. At least it promotes clarity, even if there are still hostilities. But I accept the climate and the political realities some are dead committed to stand in the way. I would say, do it regardless, like suffragettes, like Gandhi, like Mohammed (or whoever is inspiring! Guess I can't truthfully say he's my role model but I'm sure that's something Muslims can look at).

100, uve missed the point.. big time dude.
u trust sharon, cos hes da leader of Isarael.. hes one of ur own.. defend him all u want.
ill jump to what has anyone done to hurt me.. do u mean what have jews done to hurt me?
i'll assume thats what u meant..
okay.. when a suicide bomber kills young children at a cafe.. does it not hurt you.. hell yeh it does.. cos it hurts me too.
similarly when soldiers throw grenades into houses.. or shoot kids at point blank range it hurts me.. im sure it hurts u too.
but ur right, dats there and we're here.
even though we're here, ur heart is with ur people over there, my heart is with my people.
all in all.. I'm wrong and Judda is right.. we got a community here in the UK.. we're currently living in peace, we should stick up for one another.. despite having differences in opinion of our bretheren in the holy lands and in other parts of the globe.
peace neighbour..

here's another bit of Islamic education for you:
5:41 O Messenger. let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment.

my jewish friend.. im not trying to divert, just trying to stick to the topic.. the following verse may be subject to further analysis.. but i think its relevant in educating you about Islam.. look into it further..
5:64 The jews say: "Allah's hand is tied up." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter. Nay, both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth. But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them we have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth not those who do mischief.

5:82 Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.

I guess there is not much I can say in response, since I am blacklisted as it were.
