[quote="khan"] there are thousands of variables that must be considered before one can fully submit their trust.. and it goes both ways.. on ur part ur not trusting of Muslims on my part im not trusting of Jews.. because of stuff happening now, because of beliefs, because of history, because of texts etc etc..

c'mon its not that complicated....

khan — Mon, 26 Sep 2005 - 15:40

after breaking ones trust, its very difficult to get it back..

sometimes impossible.

u can forgive, u can love thy neighbour jew/muslim, but trust is on some next level.. especially when leaders of the nations involved do not trust the rest of the world..

very fiddly indeed.

No Khan, if someone says they don't trust Jews, or bear any similiar ill-will, I do keep it in mind and it does impact the effect their other statements have on me. It doesn't make me distrusting, it has them be untrustworthy by choice. And Khan, can you see that a trusting person will take Sharon's comment at face value as meaning pretty much what I say, that Israel has a right to defend itself as it seeks peace, regardless, but that a cynic will take it as some kind of a snub to the world?

Can I ask, who hurt you?

the guy is a bengali

but many muslims (esp. Pakis) act like its thier problem

its rediculous

but i think most muslims are like that

i really don't think this Alif-Aleph thing is gonna make much difference

Judda,

It does to the people who get involved and discuss matters the way we do. At least it promotes clarity, even if there are still hostilities. But I accept the climate and the political realities some are dead committed to stand in the way. I would say, do it regardless, like suffragettes, like Gandhi, like Mohammed (or whoever is inspiring! Guess I can't truthfully say he's my role model but I'm sure that's something Muslims can look at).

100, uve missed the point.. big time dude.

u trust sharon, cos hes da leader of Isarael.. hes one of ur own.. defend him all u want.

ill jump to what has anyone done to hurt me.. do u mean what have jews done to hurt me?

i'll assume thats what u meant..

okay.. when a suicide bomber kills young children at a cafe.. does it not hurt you.. hell yeh it does.. cos it hurts me too.

similarly when soldiers throw grenades into houses.. or shoot kids at point blank range it hurts me.. im sure it hurts u too.

but ur right, dats there and we're here.

even though we're here, ur heart is with ur people over there, my heart is with my people.

all in all.. I'm wrong and Judda is right.. we got a community here in the UK.. we're currently living in peace, we should stick up for one another.. despite having differences in opinion of our bretheren in the holy lands and in other parts of the globe.

peace neighbour..

I mean you're stuck on distrust. Not everyone has that and it's plain for all to see. You nurture it and find it wherever you can, to make you feel better and be correct. So there's someone you felt you can never forgive, going back some.

khan — Mon, 26 Sep 2005 - 16:56

no need to shout dude.. chill

here's another bit of Islamic education for you:

5:41 O Messenger. let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment.

I'm not shouting at all, you're doing a great diversionary job.

Thank you khan. I will hold out hope for you either way. It isn't as if I'm trying to convert you. I can see you think I'm trying something on, screwing with you, and you've looked up your cynicism again.

Seriously khan, is everything OK with you?

khan — Mon, 26 Sep 2005 - 17:14

my jewish friend.. im not trying to divert, just trying to stick to the topic.. the following verse may be subject to further analysis.. but i think its relevant in educating you about Islam.. look into it further..

5:64 The jews say: "Allah's hand is tied up." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter. Nay, both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth. But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them we have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth not those who do mischief.

khan — Mon, 26 Sep 2005 - 17:24

dunno dude.. the blasthemy ur uttering sounds like the type of jew Allah is refferring to... but since ur here to find out about Islam.. definatly something to go onto ur todo list for further investigation..

on a xxxxxx note.. edit.. oops shouldn't take any word of Allah lightly. Astagfirullah. May Allah swt forgive me.

5:82 Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.

100 — Mon, 26 Sep 2005 - 17:28

Yes it does. You are spreading hatred. I looked it up, can't deny it's there no matter which translation. You are bad for my soul. I guess there is not much I can say in response, since I am blacklisted as it were. I will ask some intelligent people their opinion on this, you are brainwashed to be hateful, hurtful and distrusting but thanks for saying so.

And I stand by what I have said, someone has twisted you up bad.

khan — Mon, 26 Sep 2005 - 17:35

me ole jewish chum.. i am glad that ur considering consulting others on this. i can understand its a great shock to you.. as u've been bought up to believe something which will take u to hell. I'm glad u think i'm nuts, but the fact that ur gna sacrifice ur time to look into Islam further.. thats a blessing..

Alhamdulillah.

16:118 To the jews We prohibited such things as We have mentioned to thee before: We did them no wrong, but they were used to doing wrong to themselves.

I am sorry if my last responses have upset anyone. I have sent an e-mail on the subject to some Imams and will probably not be commenting on this matter until I receive a reply. Meanwhile, khan, I request you check your tongue, you can at least consider it possible that my goodwill and that Jews are not as described in those verses, and that this is important.
