Look at Africa, look at South America, look at most of Asia.
Not necessarily true of most of Asia, China and the four tigers are doing very well.
And Chile and Argentina are both doing well and producing cultural innovations - as they have been for a very long time.
They just get ignored

China's rise is greatly exaggerated. If the American economy went down China would go down to. It isn't a new superpower. Most of its people are still very poor and it is still largely a police state.

lol dependency on the American economy isn't the litmus test for economic success - if the American economy went down everybody would go down, even Europe.
There is too much international diversity.
However their investment is way way up, their economy is growing in leaps and bounds and the country is completely open to investment. No wonder American companies are going there.
As for the large numbers of poor - they are the Chinese biggest resource and they are marketing that like crazy.

I think he means that religious virtue and moral virtue that is timeless and thus exists in the past as much as it exists in the present is seen as "quaint" in the "modern world" which has no need for outdated institutions.

I read this article some where and I thought that I would share it with everyone, I sure many of you lot have probably read it before, but just incase some haven’t. This article goes too show how as muslims we should learn to react when we are in any hardship, because if we fail to recognise the quality of a muslim in hardship, we fail to understand some of the true aspect of islam.

Yes muslims can be consider to be backwards, but this is only due to the fact that we fail to have taqwa, because too me taqwa is probably the one most important thing a muslim could have, as with Taqwa you gain understanding of the situation and the reason for it to be happening, which as muslims we don’t have currently. It something we as muslims should work hard for and in reality should be our one and main aim in this world, because it will give us something no degree at University will give us, which is the pleasure of Allah swt.
Anyway, I offer my salaam to everyone and hope that everyone gain the right taqwa to live their life according to how Allah swt has ordain for us too.
