Welcome Saima, just beware, it can get addictive.
Admin, so you've touched ground then. No longer a leaf in the wind!

Being a leaf in the wind gets you killed. Painfully.
So I would rather do the impossible, and stay mighty.
And that is addictive.
EDIT
Since I have been virtually away for the last few weeks (well today is the first day in ages I have actually felt like posting/reading comments in over a month) I may aswell have a new comment.
Hi all
My name is Admin, and I am back from the raggedy edge.
Been here a long time. Seen too much happen. I enjoy a good whining session, especially looking for reactions in others.
Chances are nothing I say should be taken seriously. My favourite comedian is Isaac Azam.
My fave telly show is Firefly.
my Fave forum is this other one I visit.
I read alot. Too much.
and I am extremely boring. By choice, not nature.
And stay away from me you freaks!
ok... that should be enough.

Have to say didnt totally get it, but your posts do sometimes have that effect on me. Now, I'm not saying it's you.....
Yes that is what prioritising means. Just got the impression of late that you didnt think this was all worth it.
Submitted by You on 15 October, 2006 - 22:01 #1696
If people start to understand me, I will find that worrying. My logic is for me. But the I'm a leaf in the wind is from the movie serenity. The second time the guy says it, he gets a spike through his guts and dies. so he does not get to finish the saying by 'Watch how I soar'. and 'We have done the impossible, and that makes us mighty' is a line from the pilot of firefly, also called 'Serenity'.
The Revival is worth it.
Just don't want to do it is all.
But there is noone else to step up to take over, so I will keep doing it.
What alto of people realise that while the magazine is only about 1.5 years old, I have been doing the website and forums for years prior to that.
For about three years, after the newsletter went on hiatus, I basically WAS The Revival.
In the past I have focussed almost exclusively on The Revival. Put in 60 hour weeks doing proper background stuff on top of my dayjob. It all adds up.
So recently I have not had any motivation to do anything. Which is bad considering I am supposed to write atleast two articles for next issue of The Revival, and I do not have even a single word written yet.
But this weekend has been good. I have been on the forums, taken part in discussions. It felt ok, and it did not drag.

Lol, I should have guessed!!! I'll know for next time - if not Firefly then Serenity.
Yes brother - The Revival is worth it. Actually, I dont think you're aware of the impact your efforts have on others.
If all this, the website, forums etc is down to you, then........Mashallah brother. Of course it all adds up, the hours you say you put in are absolutely believable - it's pretty obvious. This website is brilliant. There's no other way of putting it. If I didnt think that, I would tell you. It is extremely organised and really easy to use. Just because no-one says it, it doesn't mean they dont think it or appreciate it. It's just these days people only open their mouth to cuss each other. Anyway, on here, you have a lot of support.
I think it's really sad that you dont want to do it anymore. I figure, from the website, that you're a bit of a perfectionist and I think you just need a break. I'm being serious. You're not allowed to leave. Stop feeling like you have to deliver on everything. Just offer your time and energy to one thing, then if you feel inspired to write an article, write it. If you dont, then there's no pressure. I dont mean pressure from others, I'm on about you - it's not that you cant deliver, you just need to accept that nobody can do everything.
The bit about me telling you to prioritise, I was joking. I dont doubt your dedication one bit. I was trying to lay the guilt trip because I figured from some of your posts that you weren't really feeling this anymore. I bet you would regret it if you left. What you have given to The Revival is what you only know. And of course Allah swt. Why would you want to lose that? And why the hell would you even contemplate letting someone else take all the credit for all that you have done? And you know that will happen, it always does. I'm glad there's no-one to take over. I'm not going to even go into all that serving your deen and Allah swt sees everything and will reward you stuff, I think you get it, I hope you do.

Thanks for the show of support
I don;t really care about credit, besides there are alot of others who put in alot of hard work aswell.
Everyone from the design team to gettign adverts to writing articles, to editing to making public appearances to being involved on the site does alot. They deserve alot of credit.
and there is no guilt trip going on, so don't worry. I am a laid back sort of person, I do not take many things seriously. (and I was just being pretty hnest about prioritising. I may do it, but it would be unconsciously. I drift about. do one thing. then somethng else with no real semblance of order, apart from what I think to do in the moment.)
With the site I have made it all dynamic so I do not need to add all the content. This is really good as others in the team can add the stuff. I have almost stopped doing so.
ABout 9 months ago, when I first felt that I needed a time-out, I got myself a list of things I needed to do. I done it all. We even have a working ad system that is not being used as I have not told others how to use it, and have not used it myself.
Only thing missing is online radio. Just am not sure wether that will be worth the effort or not.
