Too Late. Try To Understand

I haven't been on here much because I been feeling really down.
I just made this blog as a way of talking about it.

I know what many of you would say about 'LOVE out of marriage' and 'LOVE MARRIAGES' but in my case I think I was a little late as I fell in love with someone before marriage a long while ago and we broke up because her parents don't want her to marry somebody who is not of their language, Me. We broke up but I still love her and wish to marry her still.
Her parents did not put anything religious into the matter but how she should marry somebody who is the same language as they are. the funny thing is her parents have soo much in difference on cultures and she's mix raced.

I really hate this feeling but it gets harder every day.

Hello Twitter - Round 2!

After almost exactly a year, The Revival website's integration with twitter returns.

Now with more features than before - most new content will be tweeted onto twitter, either using the default account, or allowing users to set their own twitter accounts on their user profile pages.

Just a word of warning for people posting new topics in private forums - make sure you untick the post to twitter option when posting.

This post should also test if this feature works...

One step back for 2 steps forward

After almost a year of on and off attemptsin trying to update the site software to the next version, I present you with... an almost upgrade. (Edit - now a full upgrade as I have decided that its good enough to go live.)

I ran into a few issues more than I wanted to before the site is made live, but I also wante comments and feedback and if people dont think that the problems are too major, the site will be made live and the problems fixed afterwards.

Currently known broken issues:

1. Images in content are not working. Until yesterday in the multiple upgrade attempts, they worked, so I dont know why they are not working now. I need to investigate.

2. Tribune referencing is not broken.

Starve your ego, free your soul

“The material world as it appears to our senses is not the real world but only an image or copy of the real world that often deceives.” Plato

Andy Warhol famously said that the nature of the future is that everybody will be famous for 15 minutes. One need not look beyond programmes like Big Brother to see evidence of this trend. Long gone are the days where one becomes well-known because of their scholarly credentials; we are truly witnessing the triumph of spectacle over literacy. We live in a society where greed is the norm, where the ego, or lower nafs, is nurtured to its detriment and where consumerism is rampant. Indeed, pride and arrogance are sheer ignorance, according to Islamic teachings.

We say beautiful things...

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,
The Beneficent, the Merciful.
Owner of the Day of Judgment,
Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.
Show us the straight path,
The path of those whom Thou hast favoured. Not (the path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.
--------------

All the compliments, prayers and good things are due to Allah.
Peace be upon you, O prophet and Allah's mercy and Blessing be on you.
Peace be on us and on the true pious devotees of Allah.
I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.

...yet we dont even realise it.

Let's Talk about Epilepsy! (this title is not suppose to be too enthusiastic)

What do you know of it?
Ever seen someone have a "grand mal"/huge seizure?
Do you know of anyone on the medication? do they work? are they worth it?
what would you do if you had epilepsy, would you take the meds? even though they dont cure just TRY and control?

feel free to ask any other questions, lets talk about epilepsy.

Trust in Allah

Subhanallah! Yesterday was a day i never planned for but Allah had planned for me years before i was born.

Started off like any other day, i was waiting for zuhr salat when my mum informed there's gonna be a janazah at one of my local masjids (not the one i usually attend). I thought, not many will be able to attend due to the daytime where most people are working etc. so i thought i must go and took my brother along with me.

Wikipedia is down

The English version of the Wikipedia website will be shut down for 24 hours in protest at new laws being proposed in America to stop online piracy.

Wikipedia's founder, Jimmy Wales, told Newsnight he agrees with protecting copyrighted content but not with the way it is being done.

But Michael O'Leary of the Motion Picture Association of America said that Wikipedia's 24-hour blackout was a "cute gimmick".

For over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that could fatally damage the free and open Internet. For 24 hours, to raise awareness, we are blacking out Wikipedia.
