Gender Segregation in Universities??!!

Students in the UK are demonstrating against university guidelines allegedly backing gender segregation. Channel 4 News looks at what sparked the debate in the UK's biggest universities.

Campaigners are targeting Universities UK (UUK) offices in Tavistock Square, London, after the organisation published a report last month saying universities could segregate by gender during talks from external speakers.

In the report, UUK claimed that universities faced a complex balance of promoting freedom of speech without breaking equality and discrimination laws.

Transcend the Ordinary

A stone cannot learn to rise up to the sky even if you were to toss it into the air a thousand times.

Likewise, a flame from a campfire cannot descend into the ground.

Habits are part of the automatic actions of our everyday lives, though we are conscious of them. They are like a hidden memory bank that instructs us how to carry out the all the actions needed to accomplish most of what we want to do.

This is why Aristotle regarded habits as a “second nature” which ultimately refers back to the “primary nature” or instinct. The difference is that habits are learned behaviors while instincts are innate.

I mean they've been friends for what seems like forever and they ride their bikes with each other everyday. Every so often when im passing by i'll catch a glimpse of their conversation, and they talk about the cutest things. This one time he said something to her (i didnt catch it) but she replies 'I dont understand that'

and he says 'what?'

to which she replies 'how you can be so smart but you dont talk a lot,' at which point he laughs

Curse of the Mummy... Oooooh

Manchester Museum time-lapse 'shows Egyptian statue move'!

Bosses at Manchester Museum have been left puzzled by the mystery of an ancient Egyptian statuette which - a video has revealed - seems to turn itself around 180 degrees in its display case.

The 10-inch tall statue of Neb-Sanu, which dates back to 1800 BC, was found in a mummy’s tomb and has been at the Museum for eighty years.

And now a time-lapse video clearly shows it turning on its axis during the day, apparently of its own volition. During the night, however, it remains still.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilahi rajioun

"Verily, unto God do we belong and, verily, unto Him we shall return."

This is something ive been pondering of late.
This is a phrase that muslims tend to receite upon the passing of someone. It originates from the Quran, Surah Bakrah 155-156:

"And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirun (the patient). Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Verily! To Allah we belong and verily, to Him we shall return."

Why GOD Why??????????? (**Starts to Cry**ThenRealisesHeCantCry *NowImJustLike=/))

"Know that transformation sometimes begins with a fall. So never curse the fall. The ground is where humility lives. Take it. Learn it. Breathe it in. And then come back stronger, humbler and more aware of your need for Him."
