Making the choice

Salaam

hope everyone is well inshallah.

I was just wondering (no particular reason...ahem), but is there anyone here who is married and chose their own partner, as opposed to parents made the choice?

And for the majority who i am presuming are not married, what are your views? gonna let your parents choose, or hoping to meet a good partner yourself?

Just interested.

Cool stuff/weird stuff

Once this person was driving and I was in the passenger seat and I had no idea about the area we were in. The driver said you have to give me directions to such and such a street. He was messing about because he knew exactly where it was but I played along saying 'left' or 'go straight' etc and five minutes later I got us there! I was so shocked, it was such a fluke! It was the quickest way there too.

Last night I had a dream that I was protecting the president and we were all in this jeep. Somehow it went over a waterfall and everyone started panicking. I thought "forget this" and threw my arms up like I was on a roller coaster and shouted "Whoooooooooooo!" as we went over the edge. At the bottom I was buzzing like it was the best ride of my life.

Salaam ppl

Has anyone ever participated in this? If you have what was the experience like?

Has anyone considered doing this?

Does anyone know someone who has done this?

Do you even know what im on about?

If not click camp America.

Was chatting to a woman at work about this and she were saying her son went and had an awesome time. Im think about doing it but there are two things that are putting me off:

No.1 its in America

No.2 you have to trek it all the way down to London to attend a 20 minute interview for a visa.

Music... HARAAAAAAAAAAM!

What really irritates me,is that it's almost impossible to find a Muslim group that doesnt actually use music in their nasheeds, and even more impossible to find someone that doesn't listen to some sort of Music. You can tell them a thousand times and it will have no impact, it's really difficult to believe that they actually believe in the day of judgement because they just don't care. They may think that it's just going to pass like a dream, well it'll be reality!
