Obama Closes Guantanamo Bay

Somebody said something the other day, that had me wondering.

"Why do bad things happen to good people?"

And i came up with "coz its better if God punishes you for watever youve done here than punishing you in the hereafter"

Whilst those whom he really hates are gonna slide for now and then later when he's gettm in hell, he's really gonna lettem have it.

Sacrifice

I was wondering the other night.

If like the Prophet Abraham (as) we would be willing to sacrifice something as precious as your own son for the sake of Allah (swt).
Made me think how hard it would be.

For a second imagine you were given something really precious and then you had to give it up FSA.

Cant say for sure if i would be able to do that.

Thoughts?

Ive noticed sometimes when theirs a death that people tend to blame God for it. Like its his fault. And since they cant get at him, they start down a self-destructive path. No more praying no more anything remotely religious.

Why? God doesnt need your prayers. Sounds like giving up to me.

Ever since i was a kid, i was told to tell the truth. That honesty was the best policy. And lies only begot more lies until your head exploded.

And then i grew up, and found out lies had their place too. For example lying to keep a promise or lying to protect someone. But of course as with all such things its tempting to go a lil too far.

So where should be draw the line? Is it ever okay to tell fibs?
Do you consider it a big or a small sin?

Unable To Access (resolved?)

Cant seem to access therevival website from home at all. Ive been trying since the weekend but it keeps saying 'Unable to Access' or something like 'The connection reset'. I can access any other website but just not the revival. Im currently at work so obviously the websites not down or anything.
Ive tried it with different browsers (Firefox (my normal browser) and IE) same problem. I then thought it might be problem with my computer, ran a full spyware and anti-virus scane. Still cant access. I then tried a different computer in the house, and that couldnt access the revival website either. Ive tried switching the firewall on and off, but no effect.
Im gonna try bipassing the router when i get home today to see if its something to do with that.

Mothers Day

I generally dont reduce my care for my mother to a single day. However it seems she would still prefer some special acknowledgement on this day. And because I aim to please... i also shoot to kill (or alteast thats what my t-shirt says).

So flowers, chocs (which she probably wont eat) and perfume is in order.
