A CABINET minister today backed calls for a review of the high numbers of birth defects among children from marriages between first cousins in Britain's Asian communities.

Chief Whip Geoff Hoon said there was a "particular problem" that needed expert analysis after a fellow minister warned the issue was not being addressed.

Phil Woolas said that while health workers were well aware of the heightened risk of genetic problems, cultural sensitivities made the issue difficult to raise.

A friend of mine and I were having this debate about whether the Quran recognises or states the existance of Aliens.

Although i had to admit i seemed to have missed that part in the Quran if it was indeed there. Anyway he quoted me the following:

Sura 27:65 None in the heavens or on earth, except God,knows what is hidden:nor can they perceive when they shall be raised up (for Judgement)."

He seemed to believe this implied there were beings living in the heavens that would also be accountable on the day of judgement.

Whats your opinon?

You know how they say alot of the wars we're having is because of religion.

Well... lets see if we can name the major wars starting from the most recent going back to... well till the cows come home.

And see how many of them were started because of religion.

IMO The War on Terror was pretty much a 'blame the mozlims' for everything sorta deal.

The Gulf War between Iraq and the coalition forces. Which pretty much started with Iraq and our Mr Saddam Hussain invading Kuwait which was a tiny little country who Saddam suspected were steeling his oil. So that was pretty much about oil.

To quote J.K Rowling: "It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."

Decisions: Life is full of them. For example: Should you watch TV or do homework? Should you go swimming or go to a movie? Should you go out for a school team or get a job? You will never face a shortage of choices. You will need to make lots of decisions as you go through life.

You want to see something on TV, but watching TV will keep you from doing a homework assignment. Time is your real problem.

I was invited to this social event on my course to try and get students to bond with the students from the BVC. And considering i didnt turn up to the one on my previous course... nor the many at work. I thought since this is my LAST year in uni... maybe I should check it out.

The day before the even, turns out there was gonna be a traffic lights theme to the party (which for all those who dont know: means it was actually a singles night in disguise :shock:. Red means im not interested, Amber means i'll consider you, and green means im single and up for it).

What is it with alot of muslims today who go around cursing others?

Calling some brother a Kaafir simply bcoz he's not consistent with his prayers?
Or simply bcoz you act a little westernised:

Or the backbiters who think they've done no wrong:
