This course will look at how in the early seventh century a religious movement emerged on the margins of the great Middle Eastern empires, those of the Byzantines and Sassanians, and came to dominate North Africa and West Asia.

2. Appreciate and feel motivated to excel in a multicultural environment, as despite an increasing number of peoples becoming Muslim at that time, the Jewish, Christian and other communities remained, and learn how the Arabic language slowly spread.
Utrujj foundation welcomes the eminent scholar Shaykh Sohaib Hassan to teach from his famous text: ‘The journey of the soul.’ Throughout history, man has been fascinated by all aspects of the unseen. He has especially attempted to explore and understand the phenomenon of the soul - that mysterious power which activates the human body. Many questions were asked, but only a few answers were available. During the lifetime of the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihe wa-sallam) the Jews of Medina sent their allies, the Makkan infidels, to the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihe wa-sallam) to ask about the soul. In reply to their questions, the following Qur'anic verse was revealed:

Beehive 2008 will host 5 weeks of both week-day and one-day courses in London and Leeds.
Specialist subjects, this year include; Effective Family Communication with a psychologist offering workshops and guidance; Islamic History; a specialist scholar introducing The Journey of the Soul and many more courses aiming to meet the many needs of our students. Courses are interactive, thought provoking and usually have workshops for practical application of the theory being taught.
