Salaam interesting topic i came across a brother today who totally rejected any instruments being played other than the Duff(is that how you spell it?) and seemed a quite down to earth guy it got me thinking is music haraam? are the likes of sami yusuf committing sin? what are views without condemning any muslims to hell please! just evidences and opinions! Jazakallah!

Salaam as you are all im sure its world cup time and everyones going football mad or nearly everybody but i recieved a leaflet today from a al-muhajiroun about how the world cup is haraam, this got me thinking is it really haraam? should we be watching football and engaging in the England campaign for world glory or is this some more ranting from nutters who learnt how to printer?

Salaam those who know me i am back and inshallah for good and for those who dont watch out because funzo's about! lol but on a serious note i write this topic because im interested in your views on politics and voting in particular as a certain percentage of muslims hold the view that partaking in voting is haraam(forbidden) and that when one does so he commits kufr whereas others disagree it would be interesting if we could get a discussion going on the various reasons why it could be classed as haraam or not now im not saying lets find a fatwa but rather discuss this so we ourselves can gain more knowledge than rather ignorantly just following what were told....so ill leave it to you guys do you think its haraam if so why? do you think its halaal if so justify!

Investigation

well in brief i have to do an investigation followed up by a presentation and a 5,000 word essay about a certain topic but it has to be an investigation i was thinking of "does terrorism really exist in islam?" but i thought it would be a bit naive of me to tackle such a huge subject, any ideas, thoughts? queries? fire ahead.
