No One Likes A Grass

Salaam

Yep, no one likes a grass. This is something that I learnt at a very young age.

In high school there was always one guy who’d let of a stink bomb, the teachers always wanted to know “who dunnit” and everyone would always keep their mouth shut….even if it meant that the whole class would be punished as a result.

And if a guy/girl grassed that person up, he/she would later be beaten up.

There used to be a girl that I used to knock for every morning and we’d walk to school together. I also used to sit with her in Mosque after school.

Mi`raj-un-Nabi with Shaykh Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Mi`raj-un-Nabi with Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Join us to learn about the miraculous journey taken by our beloved Prophet (sallallâhu `alayhi wa sallam) which Allah mentions in the Holy Qur'an:

"Glory be to Him Who took His servant for a journey by night from Masjid al-Harâm to Masjid al-Aqsâ of which We have blessed the precincts, in order that We might show him some of our Signs.

Are Your Parents Out Of Touch?

Salaam

95% of Asian parents were born and brought up “back home”.

A certain way of thinking has been embedded in them from a young age. Their mentality greatly differs to the thinking of the Asian youth who have all been born and brought up in this country.

As a result culture conflicts between parents and children exist.

Nearly all the girls I speak to have serious issues with their parents.

How Do You Re-charge YOUR Batteries?

Salaam

You know how sometimes a person feels spiritually low and far from Allah (swt).

Sometimes one lacks that high level of trust (tawakul) in Allah (swt) that they normally have…..dua’s decrease in intensity and the heart and soul become absent in prayer….

Sometimes the taunts and anti Islamic comments of people around them are taken to heart…sometimes one does not feel as Islamically at peace…..sometimes Islamic work becomes a struggle…..and ones spiritually batteries just feel low.

The Night Journey

Salaam

It was during this blessed month that the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) travelled from Mecca to Jerusalem on a heavenly animal called Bur’aq.

He then ascended to heaven with angel Gabriel, met the other Prophets, led prayer and met the angels. He was shown heaven and hell and more importantly saw and met Allah (swt).

The Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) conversed directly with Allah (swt).

To You Your Belief, To Me My Belief.

Salaam

(Another rant…bear with me please).

I believe in a certain sets of ideals. I’m can be stubborn at times…unless someone presents a strong/logical argument opposing my beliefs I won’t change what I believe.

At the same time, it doesn’t bother me one bit if one does/doesn’t think in the same way that I do.

Whenever I present my argument and people choose to accept it- its all good but if they don’t I’m not one to lose any sleep over it…

However, in my town which consists of nosy, busybodies who love to get involved in everyone else’s business….I’ am regularly hassled.

Why Is It So Much Easier To Be Bad?

Salaam

The text below is a bit of a rant, so bear with me please…

Why is it that if one wants to be bad it’s incredibly easy for them to do so, however if they wanted to be good it’s sometimes next to impossible?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot for the last few days…..I’ve noticed that if I want to be “good” its as if I have all the odds stacked against me, yet if I want to be “bad” its incredibly easy.
