I hate to interrupt, but I didn't really know where else to post a hello.
My name's Aaliya, I'm 18 and I'm a first-year student in London. I picked up a copy of revival in the uni Prayer Room and decided to check out the forums.
We have had a bit of a drought I think in regards to newbies...
very few new additions, and even less posters.

probably due to the delay with the magazine as thats our main source of exposure to the general public.
we had a larhger influx before we relaunched the mag!

well tower hamlets may not be psoh but we have one of the most expensive house prices in london
Thats cos Tower Hamlets comes under "inner London"....apparently if you work in inner London a teacher/doctor/accountant etc etc you earn a lot more money compared to those who work in outer London.
i bet you any money you go to Tower Hamlets college?am i right?
Hehehe don't tell me you go there aswell. It might not be the best college in London but the exam results are getting better every year. You doing A2 aswell?

Thats why house prices are crazy.
A 1 bedroom house/flat near docklands could cost you upto £250,000 which is considered inner london as you say and if you go newham which is considered outer london you can buy a 3 bedroom house for about £120,000. Both areas are only a few miles away from each other.

I do not think you can marginalise the Kalimah on a green background to Hamas.
They may use it, but The Kalimah is global to all muslims. For some reason so it the colour green.
I should start a topic on this... where does the green come from? Was the green dome always green? If not what colour was it before? Was there even a dome? why was the colour green chosen?
I can see why you take issue with it in current context though.

It's not that bad. It's closer to my house so save on travel and a few of my mates go there.
Some people go there to muck about but I went there just to study.
