And over Gen. Zia and the nuclear ambition, I am sure almost every pakistani had the same ambition.

He was bad for the economy though. He had his priorities elsewhere, and in the long-run, this did hurt Pakistan alot.

Not having nukes would have also hurt alot. I am certain there would have been atleast one or two wars in the last decade had only one side, or none had nukes. The fear of a nuclear strike has kept the peace since 1998.

Alhamdulillah if pakistan today is not like turkey then it is undoubtedly due to a large extent to the policies brought in by General Sahib. The current general is doing his best to undo the great work done by General Zia ul Haq Shaheed. No doubt if the Islamic parties were not bulked up by during the rule of General Zia ul Haq Sahib then the anti islamic policies that musharraf mal'oon is implementing would have happened much sooner and today the pakistan we see would be ten times worse than what it is today.

May ALLAH protect Pakistan from the nefarious plots of the accursed people.
