Id like to see you carry the baby along with the spare nappies, baby formula, toys and your weekly shop. All without a pram.

Then tell me they're not necessary.

Real men dont carry nappies in a pram, nor do they change nappies of their pooed babies.

That's a woman's job. Or didnt you know that?

Men do heavy shopping that women cannot carry.

Prams is for women who are UNABLE to carry a baby.

Well said. Real men have "strength".

Only weak wimps need a pram to push their own child.

Pushing a pram is not something that a self-respecting man would ever do.

Omrow's getting emotional and losing his chivalry. So let's let him go back to his dolls.

Chin up, mate! Life's too short.

I just dont think its right for a man to change nappies.

Jesus H. Christ!!

ppl stop ganging up on poor Omrow.

To all those ppl that are fond of the pram something for you to think about.

Women in 3rd world countries such as Africa dont have prams. Women carry their babies on their back and go out to work where they spend most of the day in a field.

Think about that the next time your pushing a pram.

If Omrow feels that I am ganging up on him, then I sincerely apologise. :? I do not feel as strongly as it may seem towards men + prams, it is simply part of light-hearted, friendly healthy discussion. There is no real polemical discussion on my part. I could just as easily change direction and about face to advocate against men pushing prams. I do not see, though, how pushing a pram for a while is problematic. I'll leave it as that. I suppose I should take note not to be so laid back next time?

May Allah aza waj'al forgive me if I have caused any offence.

I would like to think, though, that Omrow does not feel like he is being ganged up on? Unless I misunderstood.

May Allah shine sweet faith upon you this day and times beyond. May your heart be enriched with peace, and may your home be blessed always. Ameen.

My post wasnt directed at a specific person. It just seems like its 10 agaisnt 1. Maybe im reading too much into it.

Im pretty sure Omrow, who patently speaks on behalf of "real men" (ahem) can handle it Wink

I doubt he is taking it as seriously as it may seem either..

Im as laid back as it could possibly get Wink My posts, Id like to think, do not come across as being too heavy-handed. But I have to maintain some level of good decorum and propriety here so that others (i.e. men) do not cross the line with me, and maintain respect and adab. Wink

Speaking for myself, Im still maintaining my position Blum 3 , but I do understand, and agree with to an extent, Omrow's sentiments. Allah aza waj'al has laid down roles, guidlines and parameters for men and women to follow. Women's responsibility includes child rearing. There are too many Andy Pandy, emasculated effeminate men wondering the streets, and equally too many bossy, aggressive women competing with men.

It can be quite challenging to communicate online. Its inevitable that conflicts or differences of opinion turn nasty online, or words are misinterpreted due to its detached nature and anonymity.

It is true that he does like to make out he is a macho man but even macho men can feel intimated and hurt at times. Of course he aint gonna admit that on this forum coz that wouldnt be very manly of him.

Ive never interpreted your posts as heavy handed if anything you talk a lot of common sense.
