Lol-I've had loads of physical fights with my brother...most of the time it was cos I was sticking up for my sister whom he was taking advantage off.

Our last fight was couple of months back, I rate him for not hitting me back...all he did was pin me against the wall by my wrists so that I couldnt thump him, so I tried to kick him instead and ending up hurting myself....he's a strong boy, I wont be raising my hands to him ever again.

When we were kids our fights used to be vicious...now I think twice before hitting him, partly cos I know he's stronger then me and also cos I shouldnt let him get to me...

Our relationship has improved a LOT though...mainly cos I've discovered that I can pick up my neighbours internet signal on my wireless laptop in his smelly bedroom....so as a result I now spend a lot of time in his bedroom,

You naughty girl!...does that mean you're using your neighbour's internet FOR FREE?

Lol-Yes....we're well chuffed since our whole family used to fight over the main computer cos it had internet....now, we have internet on the laptop too but its only in my brother's smelly room.

But we do have permission.

Can't you ask him to clean up his bedroom, or even better....clean it up for him Blum 3

What, so your neighbour has allowed you to use their internet which they are paying for....

There are generous people in this world you knw!

My bros' room stinks too, is it just a guy thing? My room is always clean and stink-free lol

M bro wat was that example you gave of a 20 yr old and a 5 yr old, i don't get what you mean :?

Not that generous that they would let someone use their internet, I think MuslimSis is being sly and using it without permission.

My room doesn't stink (although I think girls wear more perfume than boys, that's why their bedroom smells nice). I don't think the smell is a guy thing but the look of the bedroom maybe (most of friends bedrooms are messy)

You said "A guy is more stronger than a girl hence he can do more damage..." so I used the example of a 5yr old boy and a 20yr old female.

erm i'm not nicer to strangers...same really. maybe not as forthcoming in hugging but i never have been...english reserve, i duno.

We weren't encouraged to be affectionate as kids so hugging and kissing was never a norm growing up. but since i've grown up i make an effort to hug all my family members including my dad.

In a way it has a had a bad effect on me, i'm too uptight can't show my feelings to ppl i care about.

I remember ahadith where our prophet (Saw) encourages us to show love, mercy and compassion towards our children. The one that comes to mind is about a man who sees our prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) playing with children, giving them all his attention etc. The man says he has 10 children yet he's never kissed any of them. Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) admonishes him for lacking mercy.

So we're actually encouraged to show love towards our children, siblings, friends and loved ones, it's a great virtue.

few days ago i saw a 10 year old carrying her 12 year old sisters heavy books to mosque

it reminded me of when me and sis went high school together and she made me carry her heavy maths textbooks and I was so submissive that I never kicked up a fuss

lolz i used to do that wiv my younger sista but thats because she carries a massive rucksack so that means she can shove more thngs in thre n also i have heavier text books
