Yes.
And I know it would bother me if the girls in my class wore a Niqab.
But..at the same time, whilst I don't hold the opinion that the Niqab restricts teaching at high school level...I believe that as part of the Uniform policy, schools have a right to ban the Niqab if they wish.

an 8 yr old wearing niqaab is messed up. :? it's as bad as an 8 yr old in a miniskirt/tank top etc. kids should not be made to mimic adults - they should have a childhood for crying out loud!
lilsis/muslimsis as far as i know this 'ban' in schools is relating to secondary schooling so i don't see it being an issue for primary children. except ofcourse in cases relating to the primary school teachers e.g. aisha azmi.
100, having not had much contact with a niqaabi, are you really in a position to be making such judgemental remarks?

I NEVER WORE IT BECAUSE OF THE TALIBAN, MOTHER. I LIKE THE MODESTY AND PROTECTION IT AFFORDS ME FROM THE EYES OF MEN. Dust, X-Men
i have never seen a child in niqaab. if i did i'd go and have a word with the mom. i was of the impression that its just not an issue among children, rather it was an issue among primary school teachers.

More so with teachers (I've been told that I cant wear the Niqab in schools).
However, children are beginning to do so as well....I have a feeling that its more of a novelty thing (playing dress up) encouraged by the parents...cos all the children I know are part time Niqabi's.
thats just wrong. can't you do something about it? :?

The ban should be stressed more so in primary schools.
Cos thats where the main issue lies (in regards to restricting teaching etc)...and thats where girls are starting to wear the Niqab too. :?
